  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I don't think I have ever gotten "revenge" on someone before, lol.

If someone is mean to me, I simply don't view them as a human being anymore. I don't really plot some scheme against them.. I don't know.. maybe my concept of revenge is different then most peoples..

Sorry for the crappy answer, lol.

I lack a belief in a God because I have never seen any evidence for one. I do not claim to know a God does not exist, I simply have the personal belief that the existence of one is highly unlikely.
So then would you more likely see yourself as an agnostic?

Sometimes I wonder if I should switch to an agnostic icon. Technically I am an agnostic atheist. Agnostic when it comes to knowledge, atheist when it comes to personal belief. When it comes to personal belief it gets a little tricky. I highly doubt a God exists, yet I can't quite pinpoint why I think that, still I do.. so for the time being the atheist icon still fits.

I'd allow a lot more freedom of speech.

Although I'd still try to keep it a Christian forum. I doubt I'd allow swearing or anything like that, lol.

I'd probably delete a lot of clutter, and try to advertise the site more. Trying to appeal to liberal Christians and those of other faiths to come and discuss religion.

Funnily enough, I heard about her from an atheist website. The website was all about how horrible Christianity is, and they had one page about how many Christians are in love with the concept of suffering and they had one section about her. While the website wanted me to hate her, I found her quotes beautiful, lol.

of all the people who could be held up as "weird" examples, St. Therese is not really one of them.
From what I have read, she did not really seek out suffering, she just accepted what had happened in her life as being a gift from God, all of it, and she sought to make the most out of everything that had been given to her.
no worry about the future, total trust in God, and humility about her own abilities
