Yes, don't forget the denominations which also require you to be baptized, and/or show good works, and/or speak in tongues...and especially don't forget that even if you get all that stuff right, but god makes you gay, your still damned.
Then it is good we do not need man. The Holy Spirit is our teacher to guide us into all truth. I just read the Bible and God helped me to understand what I was reading. I was not raised in a church, nor did I depend on a church to teach me. It is nice though to see what God is teaching others and the work that He is going in their lives. For some reason you do not mention any of this. Perhaps because you never mention God or what you have learned from God, you only mention man and what you have learned from man.

But all denominations(and unaffiliated Christians) state that they have the Holy Spirit guiding them. With so many contradicting doctrines, you can't all be right.

But you can all be wrong.

Overwhelmingly towards the good side.
Then what is the problem? If God is a God of justice then He can not very well "punish" someone for something they have not done. Although I do not see the Law of God in the Bible as being any different from the Law of God in Physics or any other branch of Science.

So how about you give one example of this "Law of God in physics"?

Because people feeling good about themselves, pales in comparison to the absence of divine rains that would alleviate drought in Africa, the mana that would alleviate the famine, the faith healing that would cure the HIV/AIDS pandemic.

I don't see God working in people. I see people working, and God doing absolutely nothing. By all means, let's talk about all the things God doesn't do.

Perhaps because you never mention God or what you have learned from God, you only mention man and what you have learned from man.
Because God has taught no one anything, has given us no knowledge or understanding. Everything we know comes from human ingenuity, from observation and experimentation, from logic and reason.

The knowledge that would come purely from God's revealed wisdom... is in reality an enormously splintered realm of contradictory ideas. The coherence of man's wisdom (science) stands in stark contrast with the useless chaos of 'divine' wisdom (religion).

I do not go by the denominations. I go by science. I allow Science to help me understand the Bible. For example we know Adam lived 6,000 years ago between the rivers. Science has a lot to say about the Mesopotamia Valley and the people that lived there 6,000 years ago. So this helps us to put the Bible in context and so I can better understand the Bible. The church then becomes like an outdated text book that has not been keeping up with the most recent discovery and research.

Tell that to the throngs of Christians wagging their fingers at atheists, demanding we repent of our sins lest we burn forever.

the faith healing that would cure the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
If they can be healed that is fine. But it would be a LOT better NOT to have played around and gotten AIDS in the first place. That is where you have to follow the moral teachings of the Bible. People get deceived into thinking they can ignore the teaching of the Bible and not suffer the consequences for that.

I try to tell people that we all need to follow the Bible. They do not want to listen. Even at times I have gotten deceived into thinking I can get away with something because of the grace and forgiveness of God. Turns out I did not get away with anything at all.

We do have observation and experimentation. Human ingenuity, logic and reason, even knowledge and understanding all comes from God. Perhaps you get confused because he does give understanding to the sinners. He does not take back a gift even if the person does not use the gift in a way that honors God. That is why we have free will.

I can only hope you say this out of sheer ignorance. The HIV/AIDS epidemic in Africa exists because Christians and Christian preachers lied to the African people about the efficacy of condoms, because warlords enlisted HIV-positive soldiers to rape their way across the continent, etc. It is not because of loose morals.

It is because of the teachings of the Bible that Africa is crippled by the disease. Oh I'm sure there are wheedling get-out clauses - "It's not the real teaching of the Bible..." - but the fact remains that it exists because of putting one's faith in the Bible.

I try to tell people that we all need to follow the Bible. They do not want to listen. Even at times I have gotten deceived into thinking I can get away with something because of the grace and forgiveness of God. Turns out I did not get away with anything at all.
If there's no punishment for not being Christian, why do we need to follow the Bible?

You apparently missed my parenthetical clause. I don't care if you are or are not denominational. If the Holy Spirit is truly guiding people, there should not be any ambiguity in the interpretation of the Bible.

It is offensive to assume that everyone who has AIDS got it from "playing around."

Indeed, one of the reasons that married women were so opposed to the once ubiquitous bordellos was that men brought STD's home as presents to their wives, and their unborn children.

Oh how ignorant of you, most people don't get AIDS because they are "playing around". Do you know what the rape rates are in Africa? You have no idea what you are talking about, so drop it. And if I remember correctly, this line of reasoning and your prejudice against people infected with HIV got you banned from this forum at least once.

It is when the person is raped.

How dare you say something so outrageously offensive when most of the people who have it didn't have a choice? People are raped, born with it, infected by their unfaithful partners, among other things. I suggest you not say something like this ever again.

Not really. Calling anything and everything evolution is not evidence for Darwin's theory. That is the parts of the theory that they still claim are true and not the parts that they admit were not true.

To be sure there is lots and lots and lots of stuff. Whole libraries full of books on what you call evolution. Still no matter how you slice it and dice it: Creationism is still a better explanation for the evidence.

God said: Let there be life and there was life. Mutations had NOTHING to do with it. No matter how much you want to call anything and everything a mutation.

First of all, no one who understands evolution is applying it to "anything and everything". Anyone who does is completely ignorant of what Darwin was talking about.

Secondly, There is a ton of evidence for biological evolution.
