My views on this haven't changed. It's always been my contention that people who give Bibles instead of medicine, who peddle fallacious faith healing and convince sick people to give up their meds, are soul-sucking liars.
Every pound (or dollar) spent on a Bible is one not spent on welfare, clean water, and medicine.
Wrong. It is science. Has been for 150 years now. Time to catch up.
Indeed, but that doesn't tell us what the truth is. Is the Earth 6000 or 4.5 billion years old? What evidence do you have?Truth is truth regardless if one doubting agrees with it or doesn't.
"All is created by God" is ambiguous, and isn't even a Biblical statement (the Bible only claims that God made all that is made; he didn't make anything that wasn't itself a made thing). All is created by God. So all else is delusion. Proof that those that reject God, fail common sense.
So it does, and healing should be the easiest thing in the world to prove - so why can't anyone?God heals. Gods word says so.
You think the two are mutually exclusive?Glad this is a Christian forum and not some "hate all who enter" forum.
This has nothing to do with God, and everything to do with humans who trick the poor and the needy out of their money - and lives.Sounds like a God hating, "Family Guy" episode, that lies against true believers in God. Mocks God.
If your religion makes you believe that about yourself, I feel very sorry for you indeed. What kind of God forces you to believe that you're worthless? What kind of God demands you apologise for being born human? What kind of God makes you suffer for all eternity, for something you yourself didn't do?The truth is, with God, all things are pure. Yet with the ones that hate goodness, God is bad. One may glory in things one has or discovers, yet without understanding that all things come from God, that one is worthless and a problem of problems that all can do without.
Then we are agreed: missionaries and others who withhold medicine from others, and instead foists useless Bibles on them, are enemies of goodness. The things God freely gives us mankind puts a price on and ownership on...such an enemy of goodness itself.
The age or era we live in began 6,000 years ago. Oh, it looks like the age began 12982 years ago at the Holocene extinction and the beginning of what they call the Neolithic Revolution. But something special happened with Adam and Eve in the Garden in Eden. This was really the beginning of written language and recorded history. There in the Mesopotania Valley. Yes, it is true that Phonics came later. This was just a picture language. Still this was the beginning of written history. So there is just no way you can disregard the 4004bc date and the location and that moment in time.Indeed, but that doesn't tell us what the truth is. Is the Earth 6000 or 4.5 billion years old? Skeptics and scoffers do not even have a wooden leg to stand on. Because it all began with Adam and Eve. Real or not, true or not. This is the very first story ever told and recorded for us all to read. Many,
many, many stories follow, but this was the beginning and the first. It is a story about paradise lost. All of the Bible is a story about man finding his way back to paradise. It is a wonderful story and the best story ever told.

Once again you accuse others of the exact same very thing that YOU are guilty of. God will bless those who bless and destroy those who destroy. There are those who build and there are those who tear down.Once again, you have a long list of empty assertions that you pretend are backed by evidence. It isn't working.
Iliad and Odyssey were required reading in High School. At least the one I went to.That's nice. I like lord of the rings, the Iliad, Aeneid and odyssey as well.
There's no way we can disregard the 4004 BC date, even though its not the date of the beginning of the Neolithic Revolution (~10,000 BC), or the date of the earliest pictographs (6600 BC, at least), or of written language (~3300 BC). And we can't disregard the location, even though no meaningful location is given in the Bible for the Garden of Eden, and all of the events in question took place at multiple sites around the world. The age or era we live in began 6,000 years ago. Oh, it looks like the age began 12982 years ago at the Holocene extinction and the beginning of what they call the Neolithic Revolution. Except for all the stories that were recorded long before it, that is.This is the very first story ever told and recorded for us all to read.

Really? Those things happened exactly 12,982 years ago?The age or era we live in began 6,000 years ago. Oh, it looks like the age began 12982 years ago at the Holocene extinction and the beginning of what they call the Neolithic Revolution.
Err, yes, you can. The 4004 BC date is not a special date, and there's no evidence that anything special happened on that precise date. Unless, of course, your religion demands it.But something special happened with Adam and Eve in the Garden in Eden. This was really the beginning of written language and recorded history. We don't need to: the claimant, not the sceptic, has the onus of proof.Skeptics and scoffers do not even have a wooden leg to stand on.
No it didn't, and no it's not. Human mythology predates Genesis, which is itself derived from other sources (Noah's Flood is a corruption of the epic of Gilgamesh, for instance).Because it all began with Adam and Eve. Real or not, true or not. This is the very first story ever told and recorded for us all to read. Many, many, many stories follow, but this was the beginning and the first.
In your own, personal opinion. It is a story about paradise lost. All of the Bible is a story about man finding his way back to paradise. It is a wonderful story and the best story ever told.
In that last post you wrote, where your guilty of what you accuse me of. Projection is a very simple and easy to understand concept. It really should be no problem for you. Frauds Daughter Anne was the one that mostly takes credit for it although she just polished up what her dad started.Where am I guilty of it?
Yes that is based on the April 13, 2029 date that I get from Nasa that I am using for the end of the 13,000 years. That will be the beginning of the 1,000 year reign of Christ. If you believe it is literal or symbolic. That means between 2029 and 2036 war will come to an end and we will have 1000 years of peace and prosperity. For those who are still alive to see it.Really? Those things happened exactly 12,982 years ago?
4004BC would be the Birth of Adam just like 4BC was the Birth of the Christ. So you add 33 years and that is when Adam fell into sin with Eve and also that is when Jesus died on the cross for Adams sin. We do not know for sure that Adam fell at the age of 33. But we do know for sure that was how old Jesus was when He died.Err, yes, you can. The 4004 BC date is not a special date,
Whatever historic Noah's flood was. The implication is a world wide flood. That is what shadows and types are all about. But most people do not understand that sort of stuff. They do not understand the connection between the literal flood and what that flood represents.(Noah's Flood is a corruption of the epic of Gilgamesh, for instance)
Trying to find my way back to paradise is what keeps me going. Otherwise if it were not for the hope of returning to paradise I would not even want to live.In your own, personal opinion.
The fact that one put's their trust into believeing a "jerk" could believe in the Holy Bible is proof that, that one, is without understanding.
One's lack of understanding isn't proof that it isn't happening. The ones that refuse to believe in God, choose to refuse to understand it, 100% of the time. Understanding is only for the ones that believe in God. Hearing and seeing is for all. Understanding and perceiving is only for those that believe in God.
God has already defeated that attack. One is welcome to fail again with that excuse of doubt.
The blip on NASA's radar raised their eyebrows back in 2004, but they have since learned that there is absolutely no risk posed by Apophis or anything else any time soon. There is no evidence, from NASA or any other source, of anything interesting on April 13th, 2029.Yes that is based on the April 13, 2029 date that I get from Nasa that I am using for the end of the 13,000 years. So many errors. You're slipping.4004BC would be the Birth of Adam just like 4BC was the Birth of the Christ. One conspiracy at a time, please. Also don't forget the nanodiamond astroid. The date for that is 12,900.
Of course the implication is a world-wide flood. The problem is that it didn't actually happen. Reality trumps the Bible, I'm afraid.Whatever historic Noah's flood was. The implication is a world wide flood.
Congratulations, that's going in my signature - "WARNING: RELIGION WILL DO THIS TO YOU"Trying to find my way back to paradise is what keeps me going. Otherwise if it were not for the hope of returning to paradise I would not even want to live.

So many errors. You're slipping.
1) Prove that Adam was born in 4004 BC. Last time I checked, you asserted that 'Adam' was a common ancestor for the Jewish people.
2) Jesus was born between 7 BC and 2 BC; there's no evidence that he was born on 4 BC exactly. The only reason you have for selecting 4 BC is, of course, that it makes your calculations work.
3) Prove that the time between Jesus' birth and death is the same period of time between Adam's creation and the Fall.
4) Jesus was born between 7 BC and 2 BC, and died between 30 AD and 36 AD, placing his age of death anywhere between 31 and 43. The Bible's statements about the duration of his ministry, means he died at the age of at least 31, but gives no upper limit.
One conspiracy at a time, please.
Of course the implication is a world-wide flood. The problem is that it didn't actually happen. Reality trumps the Bible, I'm afraid.

So jerks are incapable of believing in the Bible now?
The simple fact is that the Bible very clearly states that a mountain can be moved from one place to the other through the power of prayer, provided that the person who is praying has even just a small amount of faith.
Is it not a literal mountain? Are there exceptions to this rule?
I'm sorry, where did God defeat that? Link to a post if he did it in this thread, or a book, chapter, verse reference.
What's wasting time and energy is your insistence that mutually incompatible ideas are compatible.
Indeed, but that doesn't tell us what the truth is. Is the Earth 6000 or 4.5 billion years old? What evidence do you have?
