Anyone here play mechwarrior. i just beat mechwarrior 4 vengence last night. and have just started the Black Night expantion. just thought i would check and see.

I played #3 for a while. Then I got the expansion pack, and couldn't ever get it to work at all with my joystick, and their technical support was more "hostile" than "helpful", so I wrote the series off.

I guess that's what I get for buying something with the word "Microsoft" on the box.

I have MechWarrior 4. I used to play it all the time online, but stopped. I love the series, have the books and alot of other stuff as well.

Mechwarrior 3 wasn't made by Microsoft, or published.

I played Vengeance, Black Knight, and Mercenaries. Enjoyed all three very much. Hopefully there will be a new game soon, Mechwarrior 5 was cancelled, but something else is supposed to be on the way.

By the way, go Clan Wolf!! I'm sick of all these games focusing on the Inner Sphere. Give us the Clans once in awhile.

i got the game a while ago but never played it much...i like the story behind the game but what is confusing me is the change from Vengence to the Black Night Expantion...what hapened to the charater you play in MW4 vengence?

w00t for mechwarrior!! I agree that #2 is the best... MW2: Mercs was probably the best mechwarrior game invented, but I hated to be in the mech that stopped the invasion of Luthein ~_~

I have Mechwarrior 2 & 4. I play the second one more, but only because my computer lags when running Mechwarrior 4.

I have Mech, 3, 4, BK, Mercs, Innershpere pack, and clan pack. I used to play it on the zone all the time, and I was in 2 leagues, BZ and VL. Until it got old, then I played Planetside for awhile. Mech was a excellent game got my money worth out of it.

I love the series. I've got (and play) MW4 Mercs currently. I've skipped some of the titles (like MW4 Vengeance) just for financial reasons. I waited until I found a copy that fit my budget....

And for the record, until that twit Vlad took over, Wolf was always the Clan with the wisest leadership, from Ulric right on down (including the freebirth's like Jaime Wolf!)

If I remember correctly, you end up killing him.

I played MW2, the Ghost Bear Legacy expansion pack, and I used to play MW4. I loved MW2 because you took part in the clan war and had access to the clan mechs. I also agree that they need to ditch the inner sphere mechs. I never really liked most of them and have always tried to salvage a clan mech when I had the opportunity.

Clan mechs are supposed to be more powerful and effecient, and they are in the Game for sure. But I play the Battletech Classic tabletop game, and sometimes it's just fun to tramp around in one of the old chassis. It can also make a scenario a little more challenging...
