Did anyone ever play any of the Mechwarrior series?

I loved 'em, and recently found out they're rebooting the series.

I can't post vids on here, yet, but look up the new Mechwarrior trailier, it owns.

I enjoyed the series earlier on, but with MW4 I kinda lost interest.

This came out of nowhere, considering the poor state of the franchise.

Though I am happy they decided to scrap the olde' Battletech era conventions and made the Atlas more shooty looking. Hopefull they'll not put that silly looking fist on the poor Shadowcat too. Is it too much to ask for infantry?

Yeah, why have a machine gun on the MechWarrior games anyway if you never use them? I'm sure it would just tickle a 'Mech anyway.
