if it's at a home, and someone doesn't want others on their property, then yes, we should respect their wishes. but if there was a resturant that said "whites only" we should not respect it. so it all depends on the situation.

Nice use of text out of context. Are you implying that all visitors to Mecca would want to go to the mosque? What does this ayat have to do with going into the city? The question was not about going into the mosque.

There's nothing else in the city but the Sacred Mosque. People go for worship, not for tourism.

Yes, they are allowed to exist, provided they do not proselytize, pay the protection tax, obey public sharia law, and do not rebuild or make any repairs on the religious institutions. It's the same with synagogues, since both Jews and Christians are people of the book.

I think the question here is really about property rights. Quite frankly, if the Muslim community wants their private areas to be private, I don't see why we post-Enlightenment Westerners have any right to tell them what to do with their private property...

Yes, but when you visit it - it is truly a sight to behold, faith fills your heart from the awe of it. Even though I was 14 when I saw it - I was amazed and it made me tear.

How can you claim we do not love God when we accept whatever he decrees and we do whatever he orders us to? If Christians really love God why do they deviate, why do a lot of them skip Church every Sunday, why do they still gamble, why do they still drink heavily, etc. To claim you love God you must back it up with evidence by becoming righteous and obstaining from sinning as much as possible. To give up your desires and passions for the sake of God, that is true love.

And among the people are some who give up everything, desiring the good pleasure of Allah. Allah is Ever-Gentle with His servants. (Surat al-Baqara, 207)

Thos are the true lovers of God. May God make you one of them.


Anyways, if you truely love God as you claim you would not befriend the unbelievers. Religion isn't a game, it is designed to guide you through life so that you can reach your ultimate target - Paradise. Why would you befriend someone who will not help you reach your target, nor will he increase your Faith? Rather he will make a mockery out of it.

You will not find people who believe in Allah and the Last Day on friendly terms with anyone who opposes Allah and His Messenger, even though they be their fathers, their sons, their brothers or their nearest kindred... (Surat al-Mujadala: 22)
