Meat Fair Thread

Get it out of your system, there will be no more meat until Pascha. What are you eating today? Lunch is smoked ham, dinner is New York Strip.

Meat FARE!!! This ain't no Career Fair (maybe it should be)!
I'm having a BLT for lunch, other half is finishing off the leftovers of pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon.
Got a small filet sitting thawing and the other half has a DelMonico hanging out. Might pop open a bit of pate.
I have to say I'll miss bacon.... it's such an easy breakfast. Overall, I miss breakfast foods because I have a hard time coming up with something quick without eggs and such. I'm sensing a fair share of bread and orange marmelade...

Last night I had Steak , onions in a red wine sauce andchunky chips followed by lemon tartlette .

Lunch today was roast chicken sandwiches . Tonight will be mini burgers [ they are about 1ins in diameter ] again with onions and a red wine sauce

How do you know someone is not having an all you can eat Meat Fair to celebrate the last carnivorous day until Pascha?

Had a nice cheeseburger with all the trimmings after Liturgy this morning for lunch. Dinner has yet to be determined. I'm in the mood for a biggggggg steak but chicken is also on my mind. Will see!

I do have a feeling that our doggies will be eating lots of bacon next week. It doesn't freeze well and the pack we got was 90% grease... blech!

Now for next week there isn't enough cheese in the world to make me happy...

Love bacon but, ugh, 90% grease is icky. I agree! Your doggies will definitely be very happy!

Cheese is awesome! Pizza is probably gonna be my main thing next week. Not to mention ice cream.

Well - that's my last lot of meat eaten - and there's still plenty in the freezer

It will stay there

Next week - hmm some cheese will be eaten - likewise butter etc

Oh well lots of veggies and rice and pasta [ not egg based ] and non meaty sauces will be consumed soon enough.

I just had some steak. It was yummy. The package had three small steaks in it--the other two are in the freezer.

Today's snack was bacon wrapped jalapeno halves stuffed with cream cheese!
Wait another hour and then some steak on the grill... I think it's a steak only night... no sides! Ok, partially because I'm exhausted but also because half the time I don't eat them anyways and they move into the fridge...

My parish had a 'fundraising tea' at someone's house - yeah, right, it was a greek style BBQ

We had chicken souvlakia in abundance, and lasagna and lots of other meats...

and salad, but who cares about salad.

Lots of sweets too

yumyumyum.

It's not meatfare here anymore...sad.

That's like it!!! It was beer here too... well, Mountain Dew White Out for me...
I'm waiting to use my BOGO Chipotle coupon for first week of Lent. I'm pretty sure at some point in that first week there will be a wall waiting.
