CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Oprah, hands down. I'll get to ask peolple meaningful questions! And I'd have one of those giveaway shows for poor kids - can you imagine how happy they would be to get books, bikes, computers, etc.? And I'd spend some of her money!

Procrastination, being too starry-eyed, need more discernment of people's motives
What advice would you give a single person wanting to be married?
Pray like there is no tomorrow and God will show you the way!
What advice would you give a sick person wanting to be well?
Sometimes, God doesn't heal us for His purposes and sometimes He does. Pray you best to discern His will in this illness, and be prepared to trust Him no matter what.
What advice would you give to a dying person who wants to live?
Encourage them that they will have a life that doesn't compare to what we have here on earth if they accepted Christ when they die. And suggest that they write down any pressing confessions of unfinished business for relatives/friends to take care of.
What advice would you give a married person who wants to be single?
Do everything you can to invest in your marriage - good counsel, books, tape, therapy, being more loving . . . try everything to keep you from distancing yourself from your spouse

God is close to the brokenhearted
What advice would you give to someone who is lonely?
Everyone struggles with lonliness from time to time. Sometimes it can be solved by just moving around or tlaking to a friend
What advice would you give to someone who was unsure of their calling?
Look at your gifts, natural and spiritual and remember a time when you were "doing" something that gave an extraordinary feeling of satisfaction. Then, talk to people who know you to ask about what they believe your natural/spritual strengths are - and find a calling that fits best!
