MBTI?

I know this has been done over and over I'm sure but not by me. So yeah what's everyone's MBTI? Do you think it sums you up pretty adequately? I know there will be some nay sayers out there who are like "everyone's different and 4 letters can't sum you up" and I know that, before you say that. But from a psychological stand point I think it's pretty fascinating what I've learned about myself and accepted about myself just by getting into the whole MBTI thing.

I didn't take the Myers Briggs test but I did the 16personalities.com test.

Don't know much about it.. but eh.. that's what I get so I guess that's what I am.. lol.

I have mostly gotten ENFP, or occasionally INFP.

I kinda straddle the line between introversion and extroversion, and it depends on my mood.

People see some aspects of their personality reflected in the results, and I think that inserts into their minds the idea that the other aspects are also true. But the test can only ever be about 50% accurate, because Myers was a genius, but that Briggs was a real dolt.

INFP. Though I'm a bit more analytical than the stereotype.

I think personality tests like Meyers-Brigs are a lot of fun! They're not the be-all-end-all of personality study, nor are they entirely accurate, but they make for an interesting way of thinking critically about human interaction, different methods of thinking, etc.

I see that ENTPs are linked with innovated thinkers. A quality I like and strive to have. Nikola Tesla, Benjamin Franklin.. men I admire and men who thought for themselves and contributed original thought.Although like what was already said, I think most people can see themselves in most of the personality types. Probably more of an undeserved boost of self esteem and flattery than anything.

I don't know about MBTI. I do know about the four basic temperaments (Tim La Hay). I'm melancholic with a dose of phlegmatic. Try being a lazy perfectionist......

It's good to know ourselves. It's even more wonderful to know that we can be delivered from our weaknesses.

I am ISFP, I live up to my personality, lol. Reading about it was really eye opening on how "cookie cutter" I am to this personality type.

One thing it says is that I care hard for people and it's really hard to walk away from arguments taking up for people or something I care about. That I tend to interject into conversations when I see someone being bullied. That I try to take care of new people in situations, and try to make others feel comfortable.

The interesting thing is I've for a few years (before being into MBTI) wanted to be a "home stager" where I pick items out and place them in the house to show it's value to prospects, and when I did digging into what ISFP's "dream jobs" would be that was one of the top careers.

Also ISFP's are incredibly nosey. That is me, I am she.

What's interesting is awhile back I found something off of CF where I told my MBTI letters (this was like 8 years ago) and it was E something. EN something, even. But now it's ISFP. But I feel like this fits me better than the other letters.

I've always felt a bit like an ambivert but maybe my personality traits can just be a little more extroverted when needed.

I’m an INFP, the stereotypical descriptions tend to fit me with some exceptions. Of course I can relate to a number of the other MBTI types as well in different ways.
It’s really the seeming weirder than everyone else and “looking at things differently” description that resonated with me when I was first learning about the types and guessing what I was.

Okay, sooooo, I am an ISFJ-T. I've always been extroverted whenever I took these, but for the past 5 years, I have become more introverted. But, according to my personality type, I am an introvert who likes to socialize (57% introvert, 43% extrovert). I just gain more of my energy when I'm clad in sweatpants and a hoody and watching a show....by myself.

Little back story: I was introduced to these things when I first became certified as a life coach and I really think they're cool tests. I do think they change over the years. My life coach at the time did not think it did. But, people change over time.

I need to go take the test again so I can see my percentages, lol. You reminded me that I'm technically an ISFP-A (Adventurer) which is where I get my "I can totally be social but I need some alone time after" lol

I'll post again in a few with my percentages. I agree, I think they change too because when I was a child and a teen I was really outgoing and would randomly call people on the phone, but now you'd think I was going to tell my crush my devotion to him every time I use the phone. It's real bad, lol. And I don't do well in big crowds, or meeting new people. When I was younger I had no issue going up to anyone saying hi.

I love psychology too and how the mind works and how people are and develop.
