Background: Her mother was Chinese, her father, American. She grew up learning to fight from her mother, unknowing of what the future would entail. When things started to go horribly wrong on Blake Isle, her father was killed, and her mother was successfully turned into a Vampire. Without the emotional strength to turn against her own mother, Maya fled, and hasn't seen the woman since.
Personality: Though she has a good heart, she has a tough exterior, and a bit of a temper. There are very few that she will open up to, and it takes a lot to earn her trust. But, once you receive that trust, you will not easily lose it. She's very loyal to those she cares about.
