CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My GF says I think differently than anyone else. That seems to be good and bad. Good because people seems to enjoy a conversation that is different than expected and bad when someone wants to hear the same words that often comfort them and I never seem to say the same words people expect to hear.

Well another GOOD thing about it is that you are honest and speak your truth not just what someone wants to hear. Just keep being yourself. I'm like that too and sometimes people can't handle it either. And sometimes I'm wrong about how I feel, but I'll be honest about it too.

. I was just thinking it's cool cuz its a brand new pool at my son's high school so we're kinda the first to enjoy it and in a private setting (kinda) and the free food. So now you have me worried about how I will look in a bathing suit . Oy vey!
