CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

OK UPDATE So I get on my computer this morning but I can't figure out how to load the back up data and I almost cried thinking about having to create 2 new companies while people are waiting for their paychecks. BUT after I spent an HOUR on hold waiting for Peachtree support it was just a couple of clicks and everything was there! BUT then I couldn't get my printer to load! How am I gonna print paychecks? So I thought I would try and use my bosses, but when I sent the fake paycheck over there to test it, it printed in GIANT font grrr. I kept trying to find settings to fix that problem but no go. So I go back and try again to install my printer and it still gave me an error message, but it asked me if I wanted to continue anyway, (which it asked me before too) but THIS time IT WORKED! PRAISE THE LORD HALLELUJAH! So I was able to get paychecks done and all the rest of my work that had been piling up. Still haven't been able to load the word documents back correctly or the Timeclock or get our email to work on my machine, but My boss can do that on Monday, I tried. I worked non stop all day, day went fast and not too frustrating, cuz if it didn't work or I couldn't find where the files are I just said "oh well" the boss will have to do it. And I also told him we need to get an external hard drive so this doesn't happen again. It's just ridiculous but he said he is going to get one after we get this all set back up. Whew! what a whirlwind couple of days. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND COMMENTS! They really did help. It sucks when you lose all your favorites and email addresses, but it is what it is now and hopefully it won't happen again. Stupid virus! WOW that was a bad one. The tech guy said he was still trying to work on it and it kept multiplying so fast he couldn't stay ahead of it and the infected files were in the double digit thousands! But anyway, back on track. and feeling much much better. Tired. But much much better.

Well still fighting computers at work and at home so far the computers(and printers grr) are ahead by one. But we still have time to beat em lol. Gave up on my wireless printer. Stupid thing would not print. It would say it was but it would just hang in the balance. So I re installed my old non wireless printer so my boys could print our homework if they needed to. Today I came in to work and my boss says "Im about ready to kill something" lol now he knows how I felt. His computer could not see my computer so he couldn't do things that needed to be done. But he eventually figured it out somewhat (after about an hour of him running back and forth from my computer to his). I lost all my email addresses for work but he has some in his and thankfully I WAS successful in exporting and importing those WHEW! don't have to hand input them now. Two more things to tackle. The accounting program and Timeclock. We have timeclock on other machines and he just can't do accounting from his computer cuz it won't map the drive for whatever reason. Another day another chance to work that out. I was on the phone for 45 minutes on hold again and I had to hang up because it was time to go so I'll try again tomorrow. It's tax season so everyone that is having issues is calling them. They even stayed open on Saturday to try to get more calls taken care of. Each day that goes by gets less stressful so that's a good thing and THANKFULLY all OUR tax stuff (at work, not home) is D-O-N-E DONE! another big WHEW!

Computer technology is a blessing and a curse. I've experienced the unreliability of wireless first hand - there's nothing like cables!

Well things are looking up. FINALLY the computer at work is back to normal Praise the Lord! Yesterday just hummed along like clockwork and it was great. Today, a little more stressful, but still successful so I'm really happy about that.
On another note I am fixin to get braces in 2 weeks EEKS! I'm a tad bit older than the average person getting braces. When I told my oldest son all he said was "WHY?" Thing is I need a tooth replaced by either a bridge or an implant and another one crowned so I can't do that and THEN get my teeth straightened so I'm gonna do it. So far this year I am doing that, and also working on my weight and eating properly, spending time with the Lord in the AM before I get up and go to work etc. It really feels good to do all these things and so far so good. I might still be crazy though, I don't think I can change that part of me lol.

That's great! People of all ages now get braces - I say go for it. I had braces when I was younger but it was well worth it - my teeth were a mess and my bite/jaw was affected.

I am at an internet kiosk... for a bit with my daughter.. the kids dad says.. why not use my computer for free?? I want to be where he and the kids are.. but not.. so I come here even though it costs.. am I crazy.. seems he has his life together.. sigh.. but sorry rant.. I just cannot go there like everything is rosy.. anyhow I am having coffee with my oldest daughter.. she got accepted into uni.. she is going to be a nurse.. and had to log into the uni for the first time and find out details.. so proud of her..
Sorry cannot be here much lately.. I miss you all so bad.. but summer holidays still and family visiting from another state.. had three extra kids last night.. phew. I will need a holiday after the holidays..

I'm back in the middle of a snow storm...literally...
my deck has 4+ inches and counting...
supposed to snow an inch an hour for hte next 7 hours...so nearly a foot is expected????!!!!!
I'm thinking I shoulda been a bear....then I could hibernate through this cold icky stuffs...
I'm freeeeeeeezing...and not moving far away from my fireplace...
Yes, the furnace works...but the fire is so much warmer!

I can hardly imagine what that must be like for you.. how cold.. I can only remember it snowing like that once.. and it stayed for a day then melted..
