So...What's the mature folks up to today?

We are trying to be on our best behavior as the MODS have been "visiting" us quite a bit lately. One of our members died and a lot of havoc has come out because he was a Marine and did several tours in Afghanistan and the anti war bullies have been out in full force as well.

Other than THAT, nothing new under the sun as they say!

Well as a Marine - I can say he's definitely guarding better streets these days.

As for the anti-war types - well...I think non service people get more bent than service people...we actually fought to protect their right to be .... well... yeah... may not agree with it, but they have the right to think, speak, and feel it...it is what it is. Smarter to just ignore the rhetoric for what it is.

Hang in there....this too shall pass

I agree but when you have people actually online telling other people that have served to go kill themselves because they are nothing but a murderer, and then it actually happens, that's some sad stuff right there. But we hope it will pass and I hope you stick around awhile.

I plan to try to be around more....
For a while it seemed like I was chasing my tail when I moved...
It's finally settling down and getting to a level I can keep up again thankfully

There is one thing, more than any other, that I have a hard time wrapping my head around. That is the thought that somebody can, on a christian forum of any kind, tell somebody else to kill themselves and not face consequences for such a post. As I write this, if you go to Reddit/Advice Animals, and you tell somebody they should kill themselves, the penalty is immediate banning. I would point out that Reddit has a majority atheist user-base/mods/administrators and so on.

If they can figure out that this sort of thing is wrong, how can it happen here? How can we, as Christians, tolerate such abuse? How can you not know at the very core of your being that telling somebody else to kill themselves is-- for want of a better word-- evil? If you can do such a thing without fear of even a note in your file, there's a skunk in the hen-house or I'm mistaken.

Give it a bit of thought, anyway.

Thank the Lord we are finally getting some good weather here in NE. color is back yard looks nice. So I got an hour of Sunday yesterday after church where I got a really good message about love. If I were pastoring a church right now I think I'd preach for a year on the love of God.

So I just learned this morning that my best friend from grade school, Kirby, passed away. So now now my best friend from both grade school and High school have passed. So I'm kinda sad this morning.

Well, the kids were in all day yesterday which meant an all day work. Brought loads of work home to do between now and Thursday. Oi vey!
