CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ya, probably Gwen is moving, I thought of Peacechild the other day and how she hadn't been on. But she had fallen in love right? So I suspect all her time on line is with that guy. Long distance as I remember.
Also summer is coming and people want to get outside more. I know I am.
So I bought a new iPad tonight. Guess that's how I'm spending some of the money I got back from my taxes. But I want to see of the text to speech and speech to text will work good enough so my mother will be able to us it as she is going blind. Macro degeneration. Which means I might get it sense its partly genetics.
And I'm off to my parents house this weekend. Long weekend here in MA as some of us get Patriots day off. *silly Grin*

Yeah ha ha, since I don't get that day off I forgot it was even a holiday and had to google it LOL. Never was good at history and of course, I am blond too
. My great aunt is 95 and she has that problem too. She just bought a big screen TV cuz she couldn't see her old one. It doesn't matter how old you are, it would suck to lose any of our functions.
Anyway have a GREAT time at the parents house!

My last GF was blond. My first blond GF ... she looked mighty nice as a blond
was it not her natural color? Mine is all nat ur all! I have never colored my hair and even though I have just a few gray hairs, it is the one thing I really like about myself is my hair color and my eye color. Hasn't really got me anywhere, but still I love being able to say I've never colored my hair. The only thing I HAVE done is get it permed, but that was in the 80-90's when that was the "in" thing. Nowadays if you want a perm they look at you like "are you crazy" cuz it's just not "in" anymore. Even though I like my hair color I SO wish it was curly curly and thicker. I'm sure if it WERE I'd be complaining about it though so....

She had brown hair and it was quite dark brown from the pictures I'd seen. But she started to add some high lights when she was at the salon. She liked it and each time got it a little lighter still she was blond in color. Her hair was very thick.
I can really see how not having to color your hair each month would be really nice.

I have dark blonde hair. It bleaches in the sun easily and ends up looking like a bad dye job (brassy blonde)...light ends...darker roots. I got tired of people saying I colored it (went to get an ID made and when asked my hair color, I honestly said blonde..the lady wrote it down but mumbled "out of a bottle" as she did)...so I started darkening the ends to match the roots. I do color it...but I darken it.
However, the death of my husband left me with some gray spots that I'm not ready to accept...so that is now part of my reason.

We all gotta do what we gotta do, good for you! People are so insensitive and judgemental aren't they? Funny cuz I get accused of dying my hair too. It doesn't bother me though but I don't have the dark root problem and I have a little gray but I kinda like it in my hair color. Different strokes for different folks.

The way I dealt with those in the past was to make them feel bad by saying, "I know my hair is terrible. I try to make it look good every day, but it always looks this bad." They feel pretty guilty about then and apologies immediately.
I'd then walk away with a smile. They most have thought I was crazy. But I figured I was playing my game with them, to get them to apologies. But they didn't even know I'd changed the rules and they lost.

Well, just wanted to drop a note that I'm out of town the weekend to attend a relationship workshop. Should be interesting. This is a very hands on thing and I'll know no one there!

I did learn some stuff. I also didn't keep my hands to myself! LOL ... There was a lot of non judgment sharing about the hurts in life, some with men and some with woman. Some with an individual and some with groups. 80% of the people that came had some abuse in the earlier life. So so bad I couldn't imaging living thru that! The 70+ people were so supporting and loving. Part of that was non sexual touch. The message was also do what you want to do, say no when you don't want to do something. That included even to giving a hug or not.

I got a nice weekend coming up ... men group Sat. morn, a dance Sat. night and church Sunday Morn. In between I'll get some work done on my house.
I tried to get a date for Friday night .. but no one on the dating boards responded.
Ah well ... then I was driving to work and was thinking after church might be a good time to go to my favorite place to sunbath.

sounds fun. I am getting an oil change on Saturday and being re-imbursed for it plus cash which will come in a couple of weeks. Other than that I hope to catch a few rays and take a dip in the pool since it is so hot here now and of course, church and bible study on Sunday and Sunday night.
