CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

On another note, my heart is leaping today! I had an AMAZING convo with my son last night about end times and he is back in the God camp!!! I even got to share with him how to build his relationship with the Lord and how important it is for us and how God wants that. I am SO excited!!! Praise the Lord! My prayer is answered.
He was telling me about his friend's roommate that knows all this stuff about prophecy and was showing them all this stuff and quoting bible verses and so he was asking me if I thought our president was the anti-christ. So I told him that no, I didn't think he was the anti-christ and gave him my reasons. Then I asked him how he was feeling after talking with this friend, and he said he was kinda freaking out, so I shared with him how the devil wants us to be afraid and that's one of the ways he manipulates us and that he is a liar and told him that when he is in the word more and has a deeper relationship with Jesus he won't be as afraid and God will give him peace. There was much more, but I just feel SO great that God let me share with my son the true importance of a relationship with God and why God gave us free will and everything else!

Yes it is thank you! But of course in this stupid life we lead those are only moments. No sooner than this happened my younger son started giving me trouble and yesterday I had to take our puppy to the vet because she was not using one of her hind legs. Turns out she probably has valley fever which is caused by a spore in the dirt and she will need to be on medication for 8 months to a year and further testing required. And the cost for that was a mere 321.00 that of course we don't have. BUT I am glad that we took her. We thought she hurt her leg but no....it was not that.

I'm hoping to get a few pictures. I don't think the sun will be out, so night not be the best fo taking pictures. Light can get really flat in the snow with gray sky!

awwww I'm so sorry about your puppy...I hope things work out and she gets better!
I've had an interesting weekend...my sister witch's daughter has spent the weekend here...and she managed to remind me of how blessed I am by the Gods to have such a well behaved "normal" daughter who isn't boy crazy, who doesn't play the drama queen game, and doesn't lie to me all the time!
It's been a very interesting weekend ... to say the least...
on the other nice note...spring is definitely here...my allergies are going crazy!
I did get the bathroom cabinets cleaned out so that should pack up into 1 small box even with all the girlie accouterments
It's definitely going to be interesting moving so far west...haven't been to the west coast since the late 80's...

Fantastic pictures! Nice to put a face to a name dayhiker lol. It does look a little c-c-c-c-old though. I admire folks that get out there anyway and do stuff like that. Thanks so much for sharing the pictures!
Gwen, I too got some drawers and closet cleaned out. I am preparing for an annual community garage sale in a couple of weeks and it felt SO good to at least put some more junk in the garage. Now organizing THAT mess is a different story lol. And of course there are plenty of things I go "I can't get rid of THAT because so and so gave it to me". I wish I could be like my girlfriend. She has NO problems getting rid of stuff and has completely re done her house decor several times. But of course she makes more money than I and can afford to re-decorate while I am just hoping to make a few bucks on the junk I have LOL.
Puppy seems to be doing a little better. I will probably hear from the vet today or tomorrow. I think my other dog has it too. Am taking him for his annual visit Thursday so we'll see. I'm just glad the valley fever went to a leg instead of the brain! I don't know what I would do if my dogs started having seizures! Plus the recovery is not so good when it goes there. Weird how it goes to certain locations in the body. Usually starts in the lungs and sometimes they can fight that off. Since my pup is a rockstar (which means she likes to pick up rocks and play with them. She doesn't eat them but still having them in her mouth probably contributed to the VF).

I'd not heard of VF before. Maybe we don't have it out east here. But does sound like weird disease.

VF is a fungal infection contracted by inhaling soil-dwelling spores. When soils containing the fungus are disturbed and dust is raised, spores may be inhaled with the dust. Soil is disturbed by things like construction, digging (by dogs or humans), and wind. Dogs, known to dig and to stick their noses right into the dirt, have potential to breathe in many, many spores at a time. The microscopically small spores are found in the arid soils of the low desert regions of the southwestern U.S, so no you don't have it in your area.
