CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

On the way home last night I stopped at a furniture store and ordered/bought a new couch and foot stool for the LR and a new kitchen table with chairs and a 2 seat bench. Finally, the house will start to look more like a comfortable home! 15 months later!

I guess it can be a while before they get the pieces in and delivered. But I will get you some pictures.
Last night I was looking at the pictures of hiking Mtn. Washington a few yrs back in the winter. I'll have to get those loaded onto the web and post a link, those are amazing photos.

Well, I've made a bit of a hole in the garage getting stuff sorted through...I've still got to decide what Christmas decorations I'm going to take with me and what I'm going to part with...
I did come across a lovely little cabinet to serve as my altar and magic storage...I'll be going at least partially into the broom closet to avoid offending his very devout catholic parents, so my stuff can't be all in the open like it is here. Funny how the Goddess provides...
I let a friend of mine stay here a few days...he used to have it all together and then fell into drugs. I resigned myself long ago that I was going to watch him die an addict. But, every once in a blue moon he'll show up and say he's been clean for a few days and just needs a place to crash ... so I'll let him stay for a few days...then he gets the urge to use and disappears again.
Anyhow for cash he's been doing trash hauling...he showed up with this small cute cabinet, very nicely made of solid wood not press board, and said I could have it if I wanted it. It was exactly what I had in mind for keeping my altar in the bedroom and out of open sight in Reno.
My oldest daughter, exhusband, and granddaughter have also spent the last couple of days. Their electricity got shut off and it's taking a while (for some unknown reason) to get it turned back on. They paid the bill ...so I dunno???
anyhow....not much else going on around here...still having interviews but no one appears to be hiring.
alas...something will break soon.

My task this weekend is to get the garage organized so I can have that garage sale in a couple of weeks. Gwen, have you had yours yet?
Today is a weird day, but I knew it would be. First I worked until 1:30 this morning and then I overslept. Raced out of the house and managed to make it to work on time. Next, I had a recurring printer issue. Yesterday it got a paper jam which is rare and then afterward it kept telling me the door wasn't shut or the ink cartridge was missing when it wasn't. Managed to fix it yesterday, but this morning when I needed to pay bills and do payroll checks....it did it again! I changed the ink cartridge and managed to fix it and it's still done it once or twice since then so IDK.
Next was the mouse on the computer. Sometimes it just stops working and I have to get down on the floor and unplug it and plug it back in, which I also had to do right after the printer problem.
Worse is that I have to work again tonight and it will probably be another late night because they didn't schedule enough people and we have the same amount tonight. Oh well I don't have to work the rest of the week so I will struggle thru it. It's kind of comical to me, that since I am so tired all these little irritating things are happening TRYING to get me to be upset or something, but I think I am even too tired to be upset LOL

I won't be skiing...it's not a safe hobby for me...
I will be hiking and biking though.
Plenty of that to do in the mountains
I suspect most of my time will be spent working and with my family whatever we decide to do
I'm looking forward to the change of pace and scenery...
