  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Thanks.
The family got together today for a Russian Orthodox service and then a meal at a local restaurant. It was good to see some friends I'd not seen in a while and of course my family.

I will say this...Orthodox Nativity services are absolutely beautiful...and filled with symbolism.

I also enjoy their Pascha services (Easter)...

If you *ever* have the chance I highly recommend attending one :)

The post is in. Proceedure wasn't bad at all. Starting to feel a little pressure/discomfort as the novacain wears off. But no pain. The ice pack (cold) is the worst so far.

lol ...
By 7pm 98% of the discomfort was gone. So I went out to my home group meeting.
I've been taking a lot of IBprophen to keep the swelling down.
Also taking antibiotics 3x a day.
Just a little bit of swelling when I woke up this morning.

So I'd say the procedure didn't really cause me much discomfort at all.

Tomorrow I'm heading over to a house to do a cleansing. The family has been experiencing negative experiences and feel as if they're being watched, possibly a haunting...
They are pagan, and while I don't believe in demons etc, I do believe there are malevolent spirits and energies.

So tomorrow I don my Priestess garb and cleanse the home in which they live. I find it odd that the people who live there are also pagan but unable to cope with this phenomena. And I suspect there's more to the story than what I've been told.

Anyhow...I suppose it will be interesting as these things always are...

Can't wait to hear how it goes. So do you burn sage thru out the house?

Alot of people subscribe to a set of 'beliefs' but then when something scary happens they can't deal with it. If they are pagan they may have unknowingly let some evil into their house and yeah, you probably don't have the whole story

Hope it goes well.

I hope I will get to go to bed early tonight as I am on only 3 hours sleep. I worked until 2am last night at Kohls. Tomorrow my dog gets groomed and then maybe later I might take the puppy to the dog park again and I have to try to get my washer fixed (it's leaking) and get some housework done. Have a great weekend everyone!

Gwen .. sounds like an interesting experience tomorrow for sure. I had a friend who's family rented a place and everyone hated this one room because of the negative energy there. Funny as it was a sun room that over looked a nice back yard. Just the opposite of what one would have expected.

It was an interesting time cleansing the house...there was definitely something malevolent there but the home is now cleansed and warded from future incursions.

I've instructed them on how to remake the wards and hopefully they'll sleep better and feel welcome and safe in their home again.

It was definitely an interesting morning.

Yes, I burn sage, I also sing a chant and put a mixture of protective and peaceful positive herbs in the between areas and entrances to the home.

I also blessed a few of the charms they had made and gave them instructions on how to cleanse and recharge them on a monthly basis.

I also anointed the residents of the home with protective oil and the door jams with Goddess oils.

Anyhow...only provided details since I was asked ;)

On a side note - they had dogs, so I'm hitting my nebulizer pretty hard this afternoon....triggered my asthma...ugh!

Well I had kind of a dis jointed but accomplished day. First I had to take my dog to the groomer. Then I was waiting for the repair man to come and fix my washer. He called and said he couldn't make it until noon so I decided to get my floors scrubbed. Then my oldest son got up and wanted to make breakfast first. So I waited. Then I got half the floor mopped and my younger son wanted to take a shower. So I waited. Then I mopped the other half of the floor and waited for it to dry so I could then take my younger son to the ice skating rink. Then I came back home and the repair man comes (great timing). So I vaccuum while he's working on my machine. But then he has to leave because he brought the wrong part because my brand of washer takes two types of pumps and he brought the most popular one and of course, mine takes the other one. So he says he will be back in 1 and 1/2 hours. So I run to the grocery store to get that done. I get back and in a few minutes repair man comes back (great timing again). So he gets my washer fixed and I start the laundry. I really wanted to take the puppy to the dog park but by now its 4pm and I'm afraid I will get there and then my younger son will need to be picked up or something. So I make a sandwich and then I go out back and pick up leaves that have been calling my name since I did the front yard last weekend. Cleaned out the pool skimmer that was full of leaves AND cleaned my BBQ that hasn't been cleaned since we've owned it probably and its been 7 years since my husband passed. So yippee. I feel so happy that I got so much done even though it was a stop and go day lol.

Memories...do you wash rugs in your washer? this shortens the life of the water pump...thicker crud running through the pump...if you do wash rugs, I find running an empty load of hot water through helps clean out anything left from the rug. The kind with the rubber backs are the hardest on the pump. It also may have just worn out over time.

(and is this thread just a day-to-day misc kind of conversational thread?)

It's funny how those stop n go days still seem to accomplish so much.
I'm nearly packed for my week getaway...am looking forward to soaking hot baths and long walks with no other distraction other than my own pea brain imagination!

The laundry is done and I've cooked a few dozen meals for my daughter and brother so they won't starve while I'm gone LOL

Sounds like you did get a *lot* done today! I love those days where at the end of the day I know I did something :)
