I've noticed a lot of people are missing their christmas cheer this year...myself among them...

usually my house looks like the north pole invaded...

this year only one small tree and a few decorations....
I didn't even have the yearly competition with my neighbors over decorating the outside...skipped it altogether!

It really does seem a rather "blah" season this year...

No word yet, and we are getting a new general manager and our HR woman that has been sick is coming back so IDK what's going to happen, but I trust God has it all under control.

I hear ya. I was the only one in my house that cared about putting up (or taking down) decorations. I did enlist my son to help with the outside lights putting them up. I took them all down yesterday by myself! It was kind of a quiet Christmas, and my oldest son told me (because I asked) that he doesn't believe in God and that really broke my heart. I stayed in bed (literally) for the next 2 days and I have NEVER done anything like that before or been that depressed before. But I gave it to God because He can handle it and I can't.

Sorry, you had to hear that for you son. As you know, late teen is a hard time when it comes to beliefs. Its the 1st time they are really taking ownership for how they are going to view the world. I'll pray God breaks this world view he is setting up.

Thank you so much for your prayers! IDK how he can take this view. He also isn't planning on voting because he thinks it's a big waste because they are all crooked anyway so he thinks it doesn't matter (I used to think like this at his age so I get that part). I am praying too though, and I will NOT let up in prayer. God says we cannot be snatched from His hands so I refuse to listen to the lies in my head that say all hope is lost. It is NOT!
