So breaking this down. This event occurs when there are many false prophets and teachers, and they can perform miracles. Today, we do not live in such a world of miracles. It does not mean miracles have ceased, just that it's not even close to the beginning age of the church.

Unless those days had been shortened. So some days of said description will be shortened or have been shortened, there is no evidence for either.

Apparently, the magnitude of the false prophets and their "spiritual power" is so great that the days needed to be shortened so "the elect" could be preserved.

So, the time described by Jesus is shortened instead of what people say today about a rapture.

So from what I can tell, today is not that day. Today's spiritual climate is not even close to that day. Every decade people say the end is coming, but ... being fair, the signs just aren't present enough.

Daniel 11:44
But reports from the east and the north will alarm him, and he will set out in a great rage to destroy and annihilate many.


The days are cut short for the elects sake who are delivered at that time.

And at that time Michael the great prince shall stand up, that stands over the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of tribulation, such tribulation as has not been from the time that there was a nation on the earth until that time: at that time thy people shall be delivered, even every one that is written in the book.

it is possible the prophecy of Daniel and the prophecy of Revelation are two different prophecies.

Daniel, revelation and the Olivet discourse are covering the same events.Jesus even mentions Daniel in the context of the message.

16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.






The great tribulation in Mathew 24:21 is the same tribulation in Daniel 12:1 when the saints are delivered.
