Matt 8:34 . . . Why?

Good day and God bless you everyone! I have a question about Matthew chapter 8 verse 34: Why? Why did they tell, even BEG Jesus to leave? He had just performed 2 miracles and they told him to leave?! It says in my Holy Bible that these people were called “Gergesenes” . . . who are THEY? I have never heard of them before . . .

No one is really certain who the people were, but since they raised swine they weren't Jews. After the event with the demon possessed and the swine killing themselves the people were afraid of Jesus. They wanted him to leave to avoid any more trouble.
