• Welcome to Christian Forums
  1. Welcome to Christian Forums, a forum to discuss Christianity in a friendly surrounding.

Your voice is missing! You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.

We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

  2. The forums in the Christian Congregations category are now open only to Christian members. Please review our current Faith Groups list for information on which faith groups are considered to be Christian faiths. Christian members please remember to read the Statement of Purpose threads for each forum within Christian Congregations before posting in the forum.
  3. Please note there is a new rule regarding the posting of videos. It reads, "Post a summary of the videos you post . An exception can be made for music videos.". Unless you are simply sharing music, please post a summary, or the gist, of the video you wish to share.
  4. There have been some changes in the Life Stages section involving the following forums: Roaring 20s, Terrific Thirties, Fabulous Forties, and Golden Eagles. They are changed to Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Golden Eagles will have a slight change.
  5. CF Staff, Angels and Ambassadors; ask that you join us in praying for the world in this difficult time, asking our Holy Father to stop the spread of the virus, and for healing of all affected.
  6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.

    Mathematics is a fascinating subject.
Math makes the world go round.
    Math makes you read this.
Math is simply put: The most awesome thing in this universe. ( :p )

But I made this thread for two purposes:

    1. I want fun and interesting information about math to be spread, so post what you like regarding math.
Links, pictures, videos, jokes, facts, theories, assumptions, impossibilities etc.

    2. Ask questions about math, someone might actually answer them.

I'll start :) I want to share Vihart Youtube channel, lots of easy to grasp, fun math.

    Vihart - YouTube

Pi Is (still) Wrong. - YouTube

We teamed up with Faith Counseling. Can they help you today?

Math can take a hike where God is concerned.

    Trinity: 1 + 1 + 1 = 1

    Answer me this:

    If 3/3=1, and 7/7=1, why doesn't 0/0=1?

    It doesn't add up.

Somehow, when I read the title of the thread and that you were the first one to respond I thought this was the response! You are getting too predictable! :p

Why ask if it can take a hike?

    but anyways.
    Simply put.
Something with no value(0) can not go into anything.
    Division of zero is undefined.

    But doesn't 0/n = 0 as well?

Yeah, I get god is the solution to all equations.

But where is the fun if we stopped there?

Have you had any fun experience with math?
Have you felt the thrill of the hunt? (For the correct method/answer/solution)

    I love the "trick" question:

    What is 100% / 20%?

    I like math.

I even made a math story up for my Mensa buddies:

Farmer Brown has ten cows. He sells some of them, and now he has twelve cows. How many cows did Farmer Brown sell?

Personally I avoid trick questions though :D I can't take it when I spend hours thinking about different strategies to tackle it when I just had to read it closer.

Which is cheaper -- and why?

Taking two atheists to the movies once, or taking one agnostic to the movies twice?

The atheists of course, they won't have to pay for the extra (deity) seating ;)

I think that's more of a riddle than math though :)

Two atheists once. You have to use roughly twice as much gas with the agnostic. Travelling exclusively in my stretch hummer limo is getting quite expensive.

    0/0 = n

    therefore 0 = 0.n

But anything times zero equals zero.

Therefore n is undefined thus 0/0 is undefined.
