  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

When did you start wearing maternity clothes. I feel stupid going into a maternity store, but my pants are all too tight. I have one pair of shorts that I can still wear, (well, plus some sweat-shorts). My jeans are really tight and I feel like I'm squishing my stomach trying to wear them. I'm only 16 1/2 weeks along.

I started wearing maternity pants at about 17 weeks. You may not need many shirts just yet but don't feel silly about buying pants, it's it's more comfortable for you then go for it! I had a lot of issues with maternity pants when I was at that stage because they're were still just a bit to big but I found a great pair that fit at a little boutique but they were a little pricey. Old Navy has some great pants too! I buy most of my maternity wear at Old Navy and Target because they're trendy, comfortable, and cheap! :)

It's funny to me, I bought a few maternity shirts at 17 weeks and now they don't fit me at 20 weeks so keep in mind you'll probably have a pretty good growth spurt between now and 4-5 weeks.

I'm 31 weeks and I am finally able to wear maternity pants without them always falling down. Until now I was wearing and still am just bigger pants in a low rise style. I didn't need maternity tops until about 20 weeks and like pants have gotten away with just bigger sizes in regular women's clothing.

Wear what's comfortable and works and don't worry about it. :)

I went to the maternity store here, they have these pants called "now and after" for wearing in this transition phase and after the baby is born. They have just really stretchy elastic in the back of the pants. So they fit now, and the lady at the store says if I like low rise pants then I can wear them the rest of my pregnancy.

That's great! What store is this? Old Navy has a pair of jeans just like that as well and they're so comfy!

I started wearing maternity clothes at around 4 months, but they were to big and I probably looked a little silly in them (but hey.. they were comfy lol). I started fitting in the small maternity clothes around 5 months. Now I'm barely fitting into the mediums :sorry:

I started wearing maternity shirts at 13 weeks simply because my clothes were on the tight side pre-pregnancy. I looked silly in the tight shirts fairly quickly. I have just recently started wearing maternity pants, within the last couple of weeks and I am 20 weeks. I wear the pants with the cloth (i guess the word is elastic) band on top, those are the most comfortable for me. I tried to wear my low rise levis around 16 weeks and ABOUT DIED. I guess its just whatever is comfy for you! :)

I started wearing maternity clothes at 12 weeks. At 11 weeks all my regular clothes still fit (OK, well, most of it) and then within a week all of a sudden NOTHING fit! I remember trying on 5 outfits for work one morning and none of them could close, that was a Friday so I spent the Saturday in the shops. I was worried that I'll get tired of the maternity stuff too soon, but I'm 27 weeks now and they're still SOOOO comfy.

I just continued to buy "regular" clothes in bigger sizes.. pants were all elastic and/or drawstring. I guess i did some maternity shirts from about 18 weeks. I just got my first 3 pair of "real" maternity pants last week (29 weeks). I'm finally beyond being able to stay in other clothes. Only 10 weeks to go
