Matchmaking service for christian widows

Is there such a thing in churches.

Before my thread on widows got closed I had this idea.

If the widow I knew moved into a retirement village and met another widower would that be better for her? Does this actually happen?

i know of people that do this as I met them. On a cruise once but they werent as far as I know christians. He was a widower she was a widow, they met...

Also there are some widows in my wriitng group, but one widower (male) met another lady but she wasnt another widow and that dating ended badly. Then the other widowed lady in the group said to me she did think of the other widower. Could it work?! Or would it be wrong.

Also my pastor is a widower.

I dont know, am not trying to matchmake all the widows in my church but just wondered if this happens in other churches. And does this work? I mean some widows are really unhappy...on their own.
