I've been struggling with this for a long time now. I need help because it's killing me inside, I hate it and have a desire to quit. It's hard too and at times I'll give in. Please pray for me.

together with God in prayer and spiritual warfare you can defeat the temptation of masturbation. I had a similar situation two and a half years ago and I was able to do so in this way. I hope this helps as well building of the amount of times may help you.Are you a fairly young man? I'm asking because I remember how much grief masturbation caused me when I was younger. It's a terrible temptation to overcome.
I know many Christians say that masturbation itself is a sin, but I disagree. The sin is in looking at porn or fantasizing about a pretty girl you saw or know. Here's how I dealt with it: since I believed that God had a lovely woman in store to be my wife someday, I would fantasize about having sex with her. I considered it a faith issue. I didn't know what she would look like, so I didn't give her a face. I imagined everything else and what she might do and say.
I know I'll take flak for this, but honestly, I don't think it's a terrible suggestion, and it's much better than looking at porn or fantasizing about a real woman that you're not married to.
ForJesusChrist, how long have you been a believer?
