1) I have a lot of female friends, and a lot of those female friends dress 'provocatively'. That does not mean I want to have sex with them at all. Same goes of cousins, sisters, nieces, etc. Because that would be kind of strange.

2) Why should I follow the Bible? Depending on what and how you mean by sin, of course.

3) I thought before the crap hit the fan, Adam and Eve were naked. So it wasn't a sin to walk around not clothed at all then...but now it's a sin to walk around half-clothed?
They were made for each other by God, they were married you could say, and so they could look and lust after their spouse all they wanted, it isn't a sin to look at your spouse and have lustful thoughts.....this is the righteous design, for sex, and love for your spouse.......plus they were the only two naked people walking around at the time

Masturbation is quite normal. In fact it has many health benefits such as protecting against prostate cancer in males. The vast vast majority of both males and females touch. It appears to be the norm for most people.

Statistic:

99% of people touch
1% don't have any hands

Antarctika : Is living without sinning even remotely possible?

Yes. If you were comatose, you would be capable of living without sinning.. Incidentally, this is why I think that christian morality is ludicrous on its face, that it should maintain in effect that it is better to be and do nothing rather than be an actual person.

If a guy who practices tantric sex or whatever has trained himself so that he can [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] without [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse], is he still sinning?

But then after god became displeased with them he made them ashamed of their bodies...even around each other.

No, it is impossible for every single human on this earth right now, and all humans that have lived. Living a life without sin is 100% impossible. Pretty grim.

However, there is one Human that defeated the spiritual virus of sin, and was able to perfectly live a life free of sin. For this, Christians worship this Human as our King, because His life, death, and resurrection vindicated the human race in the eyes of God. His name is Yahoshuah (Jesus, Immanuel, Christ, Messiah, etc.) So, we have victory through Christ's sacrifice for us - blamelessly dying for our evil and debauchery to ransom our souls from hell (lifelessness, death, corruption, etc.)

I have a question: Why is it that when christians bring Jesus into a conversation, so many of them feel the need to phrase it like they are telling you a secret or something? I heard the 'Good News' when I was like, five. It's not news anymore. Presumably if you're on a christian website, you're aware of Jesus and his 'sacrifice' (went to a place of eternal happiness and bliss for our sins. Poor guy.) So why the dramatic reveal? I don't get it.

To answer the question for the post, masturbation and [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] without the consent of God (i.e. outside of love making with a committed partner) is forbidden. As images of God our seed is a reflection of holy progeny. So, to waste it is ludicrous to God: our seed is meant to produce children. A tree doesn't drop acorns with no hopes of [some of] them growing into trees, and dandilions do not release spores with no hopes of future generations. We, as humans, should not "drop our acorns" for no reason either.

You... are aware that the male body produces sperm constantly, and that most of this sperm goes to waste, right? Sperm only lives a couple of days after they have matured, and if they aren't [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] then they die anyway and are taken care of by your body's immune system. And besides that every time a woman has a period she's dropping off an acorn... right?

Besides all of this, you lose so many nutrients by [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] if you are not having intercourse. Men lose 1/3 of their daily value of zinc per [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]. Zinc is important in immunity. Proteins, sugars and other nutrients and minerals are surged into feeding the sperm so that when it is time to [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] the sperm will be healthy - but you lose this if you spill/waste your seed.

Oh gosh. I guess I'd better give my boyfriend more (Censored version: happy tongue massages) during flu season!

The typical guy [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] one to three teaspoons of material. We lose a heck of a lot more than that in nutrients by not re-digesting our own poo (as a large percentage of the animal kingdom does, since our inefficient methods of digestion mean that much of the good stuff we eat is literally wasted). I guess the lesson here is if you eat plenty of spinach, you can jerk off to your heart's content. So that's why Pop-Eye had such big forearms!

If you have intercourse with a female, the way God designed it (without a condom), the female vaginal fluids replenish most all of the nutrients lost in [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]. So, intercourse for procreation with your mate is both divinely correct, and medically ideal.

First off, vaginal fluids are not chemically equivalent to sperm. Rather than being accommodating to sperm, those fluids are actually harmful to them. Vaginas are not sperm-hospitable places, because that way only the strongest, best sperm get through to the egg alive. Secondly, if you could replenish nutrients and such through the skin, couldn't you just wipe your sperm on your own skin to get back what you lost? If you're going to make up medically impossible scenarios, you may as well take them to their ridiculous conclusions.

Also, nothing you've said relates to female masturbation. Am I losing vital nutrients every time I beat the bush? I never knew!

If you want to believe masturbation is a sin, go right ahead. But at least recognize that there is no medical reason not to do it.

Depends how often you [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]. Regardless, all the sperm you (well, not you... :p) make minus the number of children you have go to waste. Which is about 1500000000000...-2.

The typical guy [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] one to three teaspoons of material. We're actually pretty good at absorbing what we can digest. The multiple stomachs of cows is mainly for the cellulose that we can't digest. Other than that, we don't do too bad. Of course, the fact that we're biological entities means inherently that our GI efficiency is pretty poor, but some things can't be helped.

Also: lol @ popeye

I was honestly just going to read thru this out of curiousity-- its always fun to see what Christians say about this topic...and also interesting that Atheists have such strong opinions about it even though they don't even believe there is such thing as "sin"

Well, I'll go ahead and tell you -- NO -- it's not getting in the way of your salvation? seriously? That is why Jesus has DIED for us, does that mean NOTHING?

Having said that, does it not hurt him that we turn to our flesh or have impure thoughts which cause us to touch? Yes, and we are responsible for this sin...it is sin. But Jesus has already overcome and if you turn to Him you can overcome anything too.
I think the impure thoughts are sin, not sure about the masturbation. It's not listed in the Bible however, it can lead to other problems so it's best to decide for yourself if there are any "stumbling blocks"

I do not believe masturbation without visual (photos/mental or otherwise) are sin. But if you are using visual aids, then yes, it is wrong... but honestly, I think your heart is already telling you that.

You can listen to your 'heart' telling you to be afraid of various silly rituals all you like, but I am glad to say that my 'heart' is rational and does not suggest your silly notions.

I think this raises an interesting question.

If youre a christian, you think that believing in Jesus is a free one way ticket to heaven no matter what. What exactly is the point of not sinning then?

I've wondered the same thing for years. I've never gotten a good answer.

Yes, it dehumanizes and objectifies the women.
I am not in ffavour of dehumanisation, but i am not sure it necessarily happens. As for objectification, sexual selection has turned the female body into a sex object anyway, which "objectification" is necessary for the continuation of the species. So "objectification" has an evolutionary function, it's natural, and as far as I am concerned it is nothing to be ashamed of either.

Yes, I don´t understand the entire "objectification" issue, either. We reduce persons to a certain function all the time in certain contexts, without any problems - well knowing that this is not all that there is to the person.

Because, "what you do now echoes in eternity"

We know we have an eternal reward for everything we do, and in the same way we are responsible to Jesus on judgement day for what we've done. But, like many atheists, I don't see Him "shaming" us in Heaven for all the negative, but rather, if we have accepted Him as our Savior, he will reward the GOOD... If you r too busy doing bad youre going in the wrong direction. It's not exactly rocket science. He's extremely fair.
