Mascara Help

Ok young ones, I admit I have not kept up--but I have tried every "waterproof" smudge proof" etc. mascara I can find and when I wear it I look like a raccoon but the time I get home. I LOVE the colored ones, if someone can recommend a brand (under $20) I would appreciate it.

I use Smashbox's eyelash primer followed up with Maybelline's Great Lash mascara (which does come in waterproof, which I don't like because it's a pain to take off ).

I've never had problems with "raccoon eye" and I usually wear mascara for 16 hours a day.

Hi I just wanted to tell about Blinc Kiss Me Mascara,in case you ever feel like splurging just a bit over the $20...it costs $22
However,it is really excellent and smudge and tearproof,although it is not strictly speaking waterproof. It does come in blue,green,and I think purple,as well as black and brown. It was recommended by Bride's magazine as a good "tearproof" mascara for the wedding day.
Anyway,just my $.02

What is a primer and what does that do?
Does that come in colors? (other than Black/brown)

Basically, it "preps" your lashes for the mascara. I like to use it because my mascara goes on a lot smoother plus it makes my lashes look fuller.

The only color I know of that they come in is white, as they're not meant to be wore alone.

The best waterproof mascara I have tried is part of the L'Oreal Voluminous line. My best friend got married a few weeks ago it rained on us (I actually had drops running off my nose) but when I got home and looked in the mirror my mascara was still perfect! It's the best for thickening too.

Hmm. Make sure you let it dry before you blink. Don't rub your eyes. Once it's dry it shouldn't be smudging. Do you wear eyeliner as well?

i love maybelline waterproof. works even in chlorinated pools.

Try Loreal Voluminous Mascara, it comes in three different shades and comes in original and waterproof. I've been using this product for years and i love it, and i won't switch to anything else. Also, the waterproof mascara is great, because it doesn't smudge off at all, even if you splash your eyes with a lot of water, it won't come off!

Give it a shot, i know you'll love it. It's not expensive and you can find it at a drug mart.

CoverGirl Remarkable waterproof mascara. Comes in a purple tube.
I was on swim team in high school and I'd have practice after school...I wouldn't bother washing my makeup off before I got in the pool.
This stuff stuck through three hour practices. I promise.
It's cheap, too, probably 6-8 bucks a tube.

Thanks. I guess I'll have to go to one of those department stores with an attendant to find the "colored" versions Can't seem to find anything other than Black or Brown in the local drug stores or "walmart" types.

But I have tried the Maybeline and it smears like a football player on me.. ow well going to look for the loreal, sounds better than $22 but if all else fails, I'll still have to pray about that kind of expenditure on my budget..

Avon has a good waterproof but easy to wash off mascara. It comes in black, brown/black, brown, and blue.

Its called "professional mascara tout-en-un" By Cover girl. I think it was under 6 dollars, I know it wasnt more than 10.

Does it come in color? PLUM OR GRAPE & GREEN is what I'm looking for--I have tried denim blue and its too light, I'm going to try the deeper blues, but I just don't want to look like a vacation bible school project gone bad...

It's like cucumber, I like it but it does not like me--this is the very one that gives me raccoon eyes...Am trying to find the Loreal in Color

If you go to Almay's website.. they have where you pick your eye color and it matches you up with all the different eye products in the colors that make your eye color stand out.. They have all different colors of mascara. It is what I use.. It lasts forever with out the raccoon effect which I get easily because I have long lashes.. It is really the only brand/kind that works for me! It goes on very smoothly as well... no clumps!! lol
