Repeating something over and over doesn't make it so. God disagress with you because the Bible says all have sinned and there is none righteous, no not one. This is Catholic doctrine with no basis in the word of God which, in fact, says just the opposite. We're all sinners, including Mary. The Bible supports that fact, not what Catholicism says.

what does paul say in romans? "whoever says he is without sin is fooling themselves" . we are all sinners yet christ died for our sins...

that includes MARY !...she just happened to be a lovely girl who had a pure heart at the time that Jesus was destined to be born. she'll be in heaven for sure..but jesus doesnt pray to her to help him out..thats ridiculous...

be careful on basing your beliefs on what your church says rather than on what the bible and his spirit is telling you...

Just an FYI. I'm not trying to 'defend' the Inquisition. It has NOTHING to do with this thread, neither does John Wycliff. If people would stop posting blatent exagerations of the truth in an attempt to make the Church look bad I would let it drop. But as long as you people keep posting false information, I will have to respond.

The human soul is a creation by God. God Himself was not created.

The problem is, you have simply accepted what you have been spoon fed. That is not the Biblical way of gaining in knowledge of the Truth.

What you have been doing appears to be more like the following....


"Now the Catholics received the message and examined the notes of their church fathers every day to see if what Paul said was true."

One must stick with what the Word says when the Words says something contrary to what another told you is true. Who do you trust more? Your church teachings? Or, the Word of God? That's what this whole debate is coming down to.

It seems that you will unite with anyone - even satanists and devil-worshippers - to attack the Catholic Church!

As well as instructing you how to cast spells and turn into a werewolf, this site is also full of lies against the Church.

The inquisition virtually never dealt in witchcraft cases, and never used the tortures in the book referred to - which was condemned by the church as dangerous. In fact the "Hammer of Witches" was more often used as a guide by civil witchcraft courts - who in protestant and Catholic regions used these methods. Including the famous Witchfinder General of Calvinist England.

When you say say "God became man" do you mean the nature of God changed in some way and turned into human nature?
For instance, if I said 'the caterpillar became a butterfly'... I think it fair most people would understand that to mean the caterpillar stopped being a caterpillar and became something else.
Is that what you mean? If not could you please explain exactly how God became man?

But that is exactly what you (and your leader) have said. You say that God the Son did not die on the cross! That is pretty basic. If God the Son did not die for our sins, then how are we redeemed?

He said that Deity can not die. You say Deity, can. God , who can not lie? Yet, can die?

Its not an argument between what you see in the Bible, and what I see. Its an agrument between what your church tells you to believe, and what others see in the Bible. That is the major flaw in ever getting these sort of debates ever resolved. Those who are growing in grace and truth will continue to do so. So, that's one benefit in getting involved.

Hey, I was brought up a Jew. Jews could put up a few web pages covering the abuses of the Inquisitions, big time. Why? Because your church persecuted all who disagreed with them. It wanted to become the head of a one world government/religion, if it could.

Genez, I certainly trust the Scriptures--what I don't trust is people's interpretations of the Scriptures. Unfortunately, some people don't know the difference. They think their interpretation is what the Scriptures say when it is not what the Scriptures say. People can pick and choose their verses and make it say what they want it to say. All you have to do is ignore what other passages of Scripture say when it doesn't fit your belief system. For instance, people who don't believe in works won't touch Matthew 25:31-46 where Jesus gives the criteria we will be judged on. It is all about how those who fed the hungry, clothed the naked, gave drink to the thirsty, and visited those who were sick or in prison go to heaven while those who don't are cast out. Any time that passage is brought up, those who believe that works don't matter won't touch them. You ask them for their interpretation of those verses and they change the subject or quote the verses that support their view, but they will not interpret the verses that you set out for them.

From the attitude of some of the "protestants" in this thread, who are willing to align themselves with sites promoting witchcraft and who will throw out both the incarnation of Jesus and the redemption in their anxiety to attack Mary, the Catholic Church is very much needed. The scriptures say:

it was the man Christ Jesus who suffered as the second Adam on Calvary and died for the sins of the world. The Second Person of the trinity did not die, cannot die or be put to death. And it’s the man Christ Jesus – not the Second Person of the trinity - who is said Scripturally to be the one mediator between God and man. (1 Tim 2:5) He who is eternal, who could not and cannot die, could not be, and was not, born of the virgin.
