I can remember when the Soviet Union was The Antichrist.

To "some".

But in my particular denomination it was never said that the Soviet Union or any nation on planet Earth "was the antichrist". for us antichrist was always of a religious spiritual nature and would control nations.

The Christ said to put the will of the Father ahead of our own, thus loving all as self. Put the serving ways of the Kingdom ahead of the self serving ways of mankind.

The opposite of that means it is anti-Christ. In the spirit of adversity mankind is anti-Christ and as we perfect a global system of division and self interest we are perfecting that spirit. Where God sets us free the system of man seeks to enslave with forced allegiance.
