How would you define "mind-altering"? Technically, any food we eat creates some sort of chemical alteration in the brain. Tryptophan makes us sleepy; caffiene stimulates us; chocolate makes us feel good; while antihisimine makes us groggy. Where is the line between acceptable and unacceptable "mind-altering"?
