Marian apparitions...are they for real or a hoax?

When considering any such apparition, it is important to look at it's fruits "by their fruits ye shall know them..."

For example, what were the fruits of Our Lady of Guadalupe? Millions of devil-worshiping Aztecs freely converted to the true faith in Christ.

That is why the Church examines the content of the appearance...when the Blessed Virgin is telling us to repent and turn to Jesus, I think Satan may want to rethink the strategy...

It is like the Pharisees who accused Jesus of casting out demons with demons...didnt add up then, doesnt now...

That's what comes to mind when I think of Our Lady of Lourdes and all the accompanying healing miracles. Do our detractors really believe these healings come from the devil?

Did they specifically covert to the Roman Catholic Church?

I'm hardly a detractor nor do I disagree with some of these visitations. Lourdes is one that I look to quite a bit actually in my own Marian practise.

However, I do have a large skeptical outlook on visitations in general.

Salvation is found only in Christ by faith in him. Not of works lest any man should boast. When we receieve Christ we are born again and we become a new creature (2 Corinthians 5:17)

I don't think you answered my question ...

So you're smarter than the devil?
Yes this "Mary" tells them to repent and get people saved... by following catholic traditions and devotion to her. Surprise, surprise.

This apparition only mentions Jesus in passing, the rest is all about her and her immaculate heart which she say will save them.

But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. Matthew 15:9

Don't you think satan would love to get people to worship Jesus and God in vain?

There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Proverbs 14:12

It is like the Pharisees who accused Jesus of casting out demons with demons...didnt add up then, doesnt now...

Since this vision of Mary wasn't casting out any demons it is nothing like Jesus casting out demons.

What is her Immaculate Heart?

Well th...

The Immaculate Heart of Mary is a devotional name used to refer to the interior life of the Blessed Virgin Mary, her joys and sorrows, her virtues and hidden perfections, and, above all, her virginal love for God the Father, her maternal love for her son Jesus, and her compassionate love for all people

CATHOLIC ENCYCLOPEDIA: Devotion To the Heart of Mary

Okay thanks.

The Immaculate Heart of Mary is a devotional name used to refer to the interior life of the Blessed Virgin Mary, her joys and sorrows, her virtues and hidden perfections,

what are her virtues and hidden perfections?

and, above all, her virginal love for God the Father,

What's virginal love? Never heard of it. what is different about virginal love from the other forms of love?

her maternal love for her son Jesus,

I would file this under storge love

and her compassionate love for all people

How do you know she had compassion for all people?

you mention the truth of the Gospel

Jesus died so that your sins can be forgiven
repent of your sins
pray to Jesus
pray for other people that they will repent of their sins

while the devil can mix truth and lies, I do not think the evil spirit can preach Gospel truth, I do not think the Adversary can preach saving words.

There's those words again. "I don't think.." How much are you willing to bet that your assumption is correct? Would you be willing to bet your life on it?

as for saying that intercessory prayers to the Saints is the same thing as a spiritual medium, that is insulting
I am surprised that other Protestants did not call you out on such a low view of Catholic Theology

Sorry if it offends you but that's the way I see it. I see no difference between what spiritual mediums do and what Catholics praying to persons that have passed on do.

I have two questions for you.

Do you pray to fellow non canonised Catholics saints that have passed on like for example Catholic friends or family and how do you know the person you are praying to is in heaven?

So much for sola fide ;)

Lol, You funny. You should do stand up or something cause you iz funny. :p
