Name: Marcus Scilius
Age: 102
Race: Dwarf
Weapon: Bow, 2 short swords, 4 throwing knives, a small axe
Personality:
After his ordeal as a prisoner of the pirates he has changed remarkably. What use to be a quiet solitary man, passive to the goings on around him. Now his short temper and frustration is clearly shown. Just over the little things in life he gets passionately angry about. he never use to be like this but since after being tortured and the hardships he had endured had caused him to become angry with life. It is unusual for Marcus to be happy but instead be in constant worry for his wife of 10 years.
Marcus has become obsessive over finding his wife. His life goal is to find and rescue his lost wife. This obsession has became domineering over his entire life. He would never believe she is dead, during summer and through winter he would wonder from place to place searching for her. Unafraid of death, he searches tirelessly, his whole life centred on her.

Appearance:
Marcus is a typical size as a dwarf. With broad shoulders and a stocky body he has never been called fragile. He has red fiery hair inherited from his father. His long red hair and red beard and moustache are always left uncut and unclean, permanently greasy and dirty. His huge nose in the centre of the face is the most prominent feature, sticking out, out of proportion to his small head.
History:
Off the coast on a cold winter’s day Elena and Erik Scilius welcomed Marcus into the world. Born into a modest family of dwarfs Marcus was born into a caring and loving family. Two loving caring parents and a stable community had made his early childhood pleasant and enjoyable. He enjoyed a good relationship with his Parents during these early years, being taught at home by his Father. The young pleasant years of his childhood did not last long when the reality took its place.
Marcus was 15 when he was sent away from home to join the Dwarf army in the Calkei Mountains. His lack of socialising among those his age due to the isolation of his family and childhood took its toll. He was an outcast among his peers, teased and bullied throughout his schooling. He was a misfit in the Dwarf army, having no friends he quickly secluded himself from the outside world having little or no contact with others when needed. Marcus was 16 when a hunting accident took the life of his Father. His Mother full with grief took her own life leaving Marcus as an orphan within three months. He isolated himself from the rest of the world, trying hard to cover up the hardship of realities. He engrossed himself in his training spending hour upon hours a day in his training.
Marcus carried on with his military service with the usual quietness and seclusion from the world. Shutting himself up away from the world. After uneventful few decades in the service after a small war he was persuaded to join with some of the soldiers to the small pub. He bottled himself into the corner watching the spectacle before him. While Marcus watched the dwarves drinking away their sorrows when a drunk stumbled and fell into the great log fire. The drunk stumbled through the tavern screaming, engulfing the tables around him in the orange flame. In seconds the pub went up into flames, Marcus clambered frightfully towards the door but was unable to make it in time. Before he knew it his arm burst into flames, crawling up his arm and infecting his entire body. He spent months recovering from his third degree burns at the local hospital where he met Serilia. Serilia was assigned to look after him, 2 years his junior, quiet and kind they became very good friends. The relationship as friends progressed slowly after several years, making it hard being that Serilia was the daughter of a Dwarf chieftain Huja. On one starry night he confessed to her of his love and escaped into the wilderness knowing that their love would be disapproved by the community.
Marcus and his wife travelled throughout Christia never settling in one place. On his wife’s 70th birthday he took her on a short weekend holiday in a small inn on the coast. What supposed to be a lovely weekend trip turned into a three year trip of misery. Their inn was attacked by pirates and Marcus was taken to a small cove in the middle of nowhere as a slave. When he was set free 6 years later he could not find his wife. Ever since he has been wondering around christia in search for his lost wife.
