  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Have you filled out your bracket(s) yet? I have and picked Duke, although Kentucky is the favorite. But I always pick Duke because my Dad taught there when I was a kid. He took me to my first game there as well, and I've been a fan ever since.

Who do you think will win the NCAA Tournament? Enjoy the Madness!

My Tar Heels mad it into the Sweet 16 last evening with an 87-78 win over Arkansas. The entire UNC campus was rocking and partying last night including me until about 4 in the morning. Go Heels!!!!!!

Tar Heels...yuck! Go Blue Devils!

For those of you who don't know, Duke didn't name their team after Satan. They're named after a WW1 French Army unit who helped out our troops. http://www.goduke.com/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=242333

I was in the top 100% before Turday. With Duke and Wisconsin advancing my hopes went out the window!

I picked the Final Four correctly in my Yahoo! ballot. But I didn't get all the other games along the way right, no one does. Picking Kentucky, Duke and Wisconsin to make it to the Final Four was a pretty safe bet. But most people thought Louisville would beat Michigan State. So I did good on that one. But to be honest with you, I pick Duke to win it all every year because I'm a loyal Blue Devils fan.

Congratulations to Coach K and the Duke Blue Devils on winning their 5th NCAA national title tonight.

Ditto!

It was a great but very flawed game, a true nailbiter to the end though.

Both Kentucky and Wisconsin fans have to have ended the season crushed.

Kentucky did not have a perfect season and Wisconsin lost a championship game that they have not been in since they were the 1941 champions.

I love NCAA march madness, the games are quick (two 20 minute quarters) and the stakes are enormous (one chance to progress or be eliminated).

I am a UCLA Bruins and Kansas Jayhawks fan btw.

For football it is USC all the way and for basketball it is UCLA all the way.
