  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Cool how you got the picture of the funnel before it became rain-wrapped.

Were you under the wall cloud when you took the picture?

Lucky you to live in an area where tornadoes are fairly frequent! We've had *ONE* tornado day so far this season in central Texas.

That is an awesome photo. I almost had a chance to get a photo like that. Yesterday, I did not have to go anywhere to go storm chasing--the storm came to us! Of course, I was at school, so it was not exactly welcome. There was a wall cloud that stretched over half the horizon--and it began to rotate. It missed us, fortunately, but it was an awesome sight. :|

That tornado in my opinion was not all that impressive; it lasted for less than a minute and did not even condense completely to the ground (even though it is still a tornado because there was rotation at the surface). However, it still is a nice picture. The storm was moving like any classic supercell does; to the northeast. It was moving only around 20-30 mph, so it was pretty easy to be able to keep up with the storm.

I went out again today not really expecting to see much of anything at all, but nontheless the chance was there. I didn't see anything exciting today; everything sheared out.
