Certainly, even more so these days than in the past. Any number of ingredients or manufacturing processes could violate biblical kashrut.

Sources:
Containers in which the product is harvested, stored
Source of fermentation,
colorants,
flavor or bouquet enhancers,
preservatives,
Chemicals with which the bottles are cleaned
The equipment for processing or bottling if there is equipment timesharing - i.e. The equipment is used for other commodities also - (as there often is in the food industry these days).
The list goes on...
There is a lot more to kashrut that first seems.

Do Messianics tend to only drink kosher wine?
And if so, what is reasoning for doing so?
Lulav said:I can't speak for all Messianics but for me it would have to do with not participating in idolatry. Which all Christians should be avoiding but generally Acts 15 is not followed thoroughly and some Christians even brag about eating things containing blood.
Not really. In my younger, non observant days, steak tartare used to be my favourite dish. I still miss it, sometimes.!!GAG!!
I don't care for any kind of wine. Single malt Scotch all the way!Well, looks like I'm the connoisseur of the bunch of us....I drink Wine Coolers!!! yea!! Actually, I really don't drink alcohol but once every few years or so I get a hankering for wine coolers. Yeah, I know, my maturity is screaming here, loud and clear, hehehehe.
Unless it is offered to idols, is there even such thing as unkosher wine, biblically speaking?

I Love This Kid....
just for a lark go to the cupboard of a friend, or yours if you don't keep kosher - and make a list of everything in there that is marked with a kosher symbol. You have a surprise coming - hehehe...
In America, an amazing number of everyday products from dairy to dish soap, is not only kosher but kosher for Pesakh!
I know Coke and Palmolive dish soap make KLP products - they are only available during Pesakh (or in my case for weeks after and sometimes before Pesakh the following year as local grocers have no idea what Kosher for Passover means (they often don't seperate KLP and Kosher items on their shelves - they really are trying though for what they know - most have never seen a Jewish person and have no idea what it is all about - when I explain they are kind and attentive but look at me like I have horns) and I have to be very careful to not be buying stuff left over from last year that is put back out on shelvesDoesn't "Kosher for Pesach" mean that they don't continue making that particular product during the Pesach week? I know that the Jewish wine makers do stop making those wines during the season but what of other companies that advertise products as such?
