  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My 8 year old LOVES this show, lol. I'll admit that I'd probably have a pretty big crush on Bear Gryllis if he'd just stop incorporating the eating/drinking/wearing of bodily excrement into his survival tactics. Discovery had a little mini marathon on tonight. It was fun.

Anyone else?

Is this the one where he gets dropped off with nothing and has to survive and find his way to civilization?
Yeah, he gets dropped off with minimal survival gear (usually just water and a knife...sometimes a flint) in all different types of harsh terrain (glacier, jungle, mountains, dessert, lost at sea, etc) and has to survive off the land and make his way to civilization.

There's another knock-off, but it sucks, lol...I think it's called the Survivorman or something...he's no Bear, let me tell ya. :D

Actually, Survivorman was airing long before Man vs. Wild. I like Survivorman because he is really alone. He has no camera crew. Both shows are good though...
