And yet what the gospels say about Jesus are reaffirmed by the apostles. Not one thing taught by the apostles counters any thing contained in the gospels.

And by the way the Gospel of John was written by a disciple. So I'd say it falls within the realm of being pretty accurate.

Those Gospels were written in Heaven 4000 years before they were written on earth.

Indeed -- I've grown pretty fond of the idea that the Gospels, having propagated in the synagogues, were meant to be read liturgically, not historically. This would shoot down both the idea of them being literal, and their being authored by the original apostles, without diminishing their value as insights into Jesus' teachings.
