A cabdriver was attacked Tuesday by a knife-wielding passenger who made anti-Muslim remarks, the police said.
The passenger, Michael Enright, 21, of Brewster, N.Y., hailed the cab at Second Avenue and East 24th Street around 6 p.m. Tuesday, the police said. Twenty blocks north, they said, he slashed and stabbed the 43-year-old driver in his throat, face and arm.

Of course he's racist. He singled out a man because of his skin color and therefore assumed he was Muslim. Once the man said he was, that was all he wrote.

Just like after 9/11 happened and the people in the United States starting acting like scared animals, they're doing the same thing all over again. Americans no longer can say they are strong people and that they are some sleeping tiger you don't want to mess with; people like this prove just how cowardly our nation's citizens have become.

You dont know every Christian in the world do you?, nobody in my Church or the surrounded Churches thinks that "all muslims are rabid muderours" and they would comdenm at attack on anybody.

It is disgusting at how our society in general treats Muslims now. If we are not careful we could be on the road to some kind of fundamentalist crazed North America where anyone who does not conform to their standards is forceably removed from the country or worse..

Not being negative or fear-mongering, but this is how I see it progressing if we allow Muslims and anyone, really, to be discriminated against or becoming victims to attack without the slightest whiff of condemnation.

Oh of course, that's not what I meant to imply. I guess I chose my words poorly. What I meant is that generally, society shows a suspicion of all things Islam, from my experiences here in Canada and with having Muslims in my family.
