Really? Who has the more violent society? America or England? The proof is in the pudding.
I’ve got to say the US has more than enough laws, that is not the problem. It is the most legalistic country on earth, where crossing a road other than at a crossing is a crime.

The geniuses in Blighty, however, only believe it works for people who say naughty things.
We do lock up worse baddies, to be fair.

Well that's sick. In the US, posting that on Twitter could get you a ban, but not an arrest. If I knew somebody who did something like that in real life, I would shun him. Shunning is an appropriate response to jerks.

Yeah, can’t disagree. I wonder if different countries have different rules for crime and punishment? It might make the constant whinging that occurs every time Americans hear about someone being jailed for crimes not on the books in their country - oh, I don’t really know where I’m going with this. It’s late and I’ll finish this sentence tomo

Part of the issue is elected Prosecutors and judges, leading to competition that sees punishment get ever worse.

Up to snuff? You mean breaking the law? Yes: that how laws and crime work.

Obviously.

Right, we are going to make sure you have proper decorum and we will be authoritarian enough to make sure you do what we want. Cause if you dont we will create a law to make sure you think and talk how we want you to or we will toss you in prison. Starting to sound an awful lot like something Hitler and Stalin would support wholeheartedly.

Crikey! You can’t tell the difference? You can’t see how sociological theories are different to antisemitism and racism, white supremacy and calls for violence?

To the community college for a crash course in civics with you! Quickly! There is no time!
I didn't know Christian Nationalism was about racism and anti semitism. Maybe we have different definitions.

Yes we have more violent crime in America. But America does not support that or hold it as a good thing. We are constantly talking about what to do about it. But if you want to talk about gun control start a different thread. This one is about tossing people in prison because of a meme.

And since you seem to support that sort of thing you haven't defended why you think that is acceptable. It seems you fully support an authoritarian response to making people think and talk in the way you think they should. Prison is for them. You might want to read the book 1984.

Your posts read just like what's written there.

It sounds like you don't really know the difference yourself since you seem to tell the difference between things like anti-Semitism (which is a leftist thing), racism and sociological theories. Quick to the re-education camp for you!

You have a tiny country. Take away our drug and gang culture and the violence would be cut down considerably...and we have enough stupid laws. The problem is our laws aren't well enforced by liberal judges and lawyers. Plus they cut the police force after the BLM riot's

What is offensive? Anything that anyone finds offensive, which is literally everything. We don't need more stupid laws, we need less.
Yes. This country with people all riled up over "CRT!" and "grooming!"

Hmm. Wonder why USA, with its sink-or-swim nihilisitic bootstraps ethic, is the country with far worse gang culture than than the more lefty country we're comparing to?

You could argue that with freedom comes the consequences of freedom. I bet North Korea doesn't have gang wars either. But who would want to live under tyranny? You can't even carry a pocket knife in England I'm told.

The society back then was not trying to indoctrinate children. They were not trying to educate boys that they can be girls. They weren't trying to groom children like they are today. This isn't just a social battle. It's a battle for the very souls of our nations kids.

Paul write clearly if the evilness of this type of sin. But he also lived in a society where they crucified people. He also never spoke out against crucifixion, torture, burning people alive or defending them to the lions.

But he also never forbade anyone else from doing it either. There is no teaching in scripture about political involvement one way or another. This is completely an individual choice. I personally feel trying to protect our children by all means necessary is good because they are easily manipulated and brainwashed.

I'd feel like a fool if I saw evil and kept my mouth shut as I watched our kids get brainwashed by it.
I am reminded of the English king Canute who believed that he could control the sea. So he stood at the sea shore as the tide came in and commanded the sea to stay where it was. When the water got up to his neck, he decided that he couldn't control the sea after all.

The role of the Christian believer is not to change the world. It is to preach the Gospel and make disciples for Christ. The power of the Gospel is not for changing the evils of our society but to bring salvation to those who believe the Gospel and embrace Christ. When Paul went to Corinth, he didn't try to change the nature of that pagan city. He preached the Gospel and won people to Christ one at a time until there was an established church there.

In the UK they are 100% free to tell everybody how tyrannized they feel. And Ive been there too. Its not a "tyranny". In fact youre breaking the word in an attempt to make your point.

N Korea. Now thats a tyranny.

Folks we are facing some serious issues today in regards to the LGBTQ agenda to force acceptance and completely shut down freedom of speech that opposes them in any way. Including sharing opinions or failing to accept the ideology. Remember speech is violence. And they are actively pursuing government intervention to shut you up including arrest if necessary and sendi g you to re-education.

In the UK a veteran was arrested for causing anxiety in a person due to a social media post. Including in this was a way to avoid a fine by going to re-education to teach you proper thinking.

The man re-posted a post where a person created a meme of a swastika made from gay pride flags. The meme was created as a protest against the the way gay pride month has been enforced with hectoring authoritarianism.

Someone saw the meme and reported the incident to police.

We are headed this direction here in the US. Title 9 is now looking at rules expanding on the "harassing" rules. To such an extent of using government to shut down and eliminate your free speech.

Some of this has been put in hold through the courts but it's not decided yet.

Hold onto your hats. If you don't cowtow to the LGBTQ ideology the efforts to shut you up and punish you are in full swing.

And yet the left is working extremely hard to change create a society in America where you can be punished for your opinions.
Like anything else expressing opinions have consequences and if one is choosing to engage in hate speech and a swastika made of pride flags certainly qualifies as hate speech then one should expect consequences.

There are more than 900,000 sworn law enforcement officers now serving in the United States, which is the highest number in the history of the country Ref

Always such a shame when that higher standard includes shooting each others faces off when they slightly annoy each other. Maybe there could be some way of avoiding Americans annoying and killing each other?

A law, perhaps?
We can’t all drive lorries into crowds in protest. ;)
