Males: Do You Only Like Ladies of Your Own Race?

Since the females have been asked this question, and a few guys have answered on that thread I just thought I'd make one for the guys. Also I'm just curious as to what the answers will be.

Actually, the last two relationships I've been in were with women who were of a different race than myself. I actually came quite close to proposing to the most recent one, but she decided she needed to "have a good time" with other guys.

This came as a shock to me since she says she is a Christian (in fact, it is because of her that I became Christian). Of course, this is off topic and I'm probably just venting because I'm not 100% over her yet (99.9%, but not 100%).

Although I was raised to believe that inter-racial relationships were wrong, I believe that certain aspects of the Bible have to be adapted to our current society. I personally feel that if she is a strong Christian woman it doesn't particularily matter what race she is. I'm sure Jesus doesn't discriminate against race so why should I?

I think interacial marriges are fine. Didn't Moses marry an ethiopean? And Ester marry a king of a different race? I haven't been into the old testament much, but I'm slowly but surely getting there. heh.

Anyways back on topic, Do I like ladies of my own race? I'd have to say I think that all races are beautiful, but I do have an eye for much light fairer skinned, it's just my own personal taste. tall swedish blondes girls all the way Whoo hoo!

Generally, yes. There just aren't that many that I find attractive.. but given that I really know almost none...

i personally find whites and blacks the most attractive. i do not think its wrong, i hsouldnt considering im the product of an interracial relationship. halfwhite/halfvenezuelan.

In some casses God did not allow or for that matter He never condoned Interracial marriages:
DT 7:3 "Furthermore, you shall not intermarry with them; you shall not give your daughters to their sons, nor shall you take their daughters for your sons.

DT 7:4 "For they will turn your sons away from following Me to serve other gods; then the anger of the LORD will be kindled against you and He will quickly destroy you.

But to answer that OP. Yes I only like women that are of the same race as myself, I would never consider a different race for marriage. I do not like it at all. (my persnoal opinion). That is not to say that I think that some females of a different race are pretty. I just do not think that it is right. Mainly for the childrens sake from a interracial marriage.

you are taking these scriptures out of context. those commands were for the Hebrews of the old covenant. we are no longer under those laws. these commands wre given to them so they would not be led away from Yahweh by the influence of pagan worshippers, like Ammonites. Do not forget that Ruth was a Moabite(somebody correct me if im wrong) and was favored by God for her faith in Him. She became the grandmother of the great king David and thus the ancestor of Jesus Christ.

by using DT 7:4, are you saying that ppl of a race different from your own cannot be saved and they will serve false gods?

Yes God used non hebrews to do his work. and still is today. For He is in control of ALL thing at ALL times.

I was just saying that GOd did not want them to intermarry so that they would not be leads astray.

But you can alos use this verse in conjunction with
2Co 6:14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?

For since the pagan nations were unbelivers then they were not to be unequally yoked with them. And same goes for us today. (i know that it is a streach, but it is MY PRESONAL belief, you do not have to agree with it for not everyone will agree with everyone else)

2 Co 6:14 does not have anything to say about race, but the condition of the persons beliefs. this thread is about interracial not interreligous(that a word) relationships.

So tenorvoice, you wouldn't consider a relationship with a solid Christian woman of another race? The only discrimination God wanted was on the basis of religion. I can sort of understand for the children's sake though, as they would sadly be outcasted and bullied for something they can't help.

Back to the original topic, I find women of some races to be more attractive than others. But among those others, there are some very hot women. It seems I can't write a specific race off, because if I do, I'll eat my words in a good way.

If y ou aren't Jewish you are a pagan, according to the OT. But by the grace of the Father and the blood of Christ, mercy and salvation can be extended to peoples of every race, tongue, and tribe. There are sincere mature Bible believing Christians of many different "races" or colors. God is in control of who He wills to bring together to enter into marriage. So if God brings together two people of different "races" to marry, then He will protect the children of those unions. God is big enough to do that. There are more differences genetically between people of the same "race" than people of different "races". anyways JMO
