Hi, I just wanted to share how I was able to turn a seemingly depressing evening into a blessed experience. I went out this evening to a local mall here in Southern California for a walk and a chance to escape the sweltering heat. Not to mention that I was feeling rather down about my current situation. I have been seperated from my wife for about 6 months now and this week we are celebrating our Daughters 10th birthday. Not being at home is especially hard dearing times like this. So anyways there i was strolling around the mall just feeling as thou I had truely hit the bottom of the barrel as far as my ability to cope with the loneliness. My wife took the day off from work and took the kids to a fun filled day at Disneyland. I was not able to take the time off of work to be with them. Anyways, as I was walking around praying to the Lord for peace, I suddenly found his comfort. I was approached by a women at a Starbucks as I had stopped in for a cup of Jo. She commented that she had noticed my smile and was wondering why I was so happy. I told her that I make it a point to try and always wear a smile on my face because it tends to br recepricated by a smile in return. I mentioned that life in Southern California is just to busy, that people forget to be kind to one-another. This surprised her and she lift the conversation feeling as thou she had had a coversation with a good old friend. This was a true blessing for me, because I didnt even realize that something I often just do out of habit impacted someone so much.

This made me wonder if anyone else has had a simular experience?

You know Gods touch can be found in any situation. This is especially true right now because of all the oppertuneties to hang my head low, its often the best time for God to comfort me with things often overlooked. I for once in my life dont take people for granted and have found myself reaching out to people that I would otherwise have not given the time of day. I know that God is perfect but people arent, and thow divorce is not Gods plan he can still be praised thru the process of healing the hurting.
