Aeris gasped, flinching back from her position next to Alyssa. "I'll try to heal her arm." Aeris said, frantically. She healed the arm slightly, but suddenly stopped. "I'm out of magic...." she said, panting. She then fainted, falling over. Alexis caught her. "She needs rest...." Chance said. Chance and Alexis placed Alyssa and Aeris on Alyssa's bed. Chance walked around the room, staring at the paintings. Alexis rubbed her arms, trying to comfort herself. "I-I'm scared....." Alexis said. Chance turned to her. "Of what?" he asked. "The darkness.....I feel....I feel like it's trying to swallow me again...." Alexis said. She started to fall to her knees, but Chance caught her. "Don't lose your faith. We'll get out of this." he said. "Alive or dead?" Alexis thought to herself....

John, Plum, Cloud, and Barret were walking through the dark halls of the mansion. Plum had remembered to bring a flashlight to illuminate their path. Suddenly, a dark figure moved in front of them. It moved in the shadows, but Plum managed to illuminate the foot of it before it got away. "There! After it!" he said. The men hurridly rushed after it in the darkened halls.
They came to the ballroom, which was also darkened. Plum looked around with his flashlight, when there was a loud boom. One of the pillars suspending the ceiling began to fall, knocking into one of the other ones. It repeated this cycle, as the ceiling begin to cave in. "Look out!!" John said. John grabbed Plum, pushing him out of the way of some falling rubble. Garret blasted the falling rubble with his gun, and Cloud flew up, slashing it with his sword. John shot blasts of fire at the rubble. Eventually, it was over. "Phew....What good luck we had...." Plum said, adjusting his glasses. "Luck had nothing to do with it...." Cloud said, flatly. He walked through the doorway. Their search resumed.
