(((Thanks for leaving me behind. I was going to do something funny on the flight, and besides, I'm not going to sit by Angelic because she has an enormous crush on me, thinks up these imaginary things where she shares an apartment with both me and John, and thinks I can drive!)))
A man with glasses walked up to the group. "Hello, I am Dr. Falkner, and this is Freckles..." he said, looking down at the fat yellow cat, nudging his leg. "Welcome to the third island in the straits of Florida. It was the only island large enough to build a stadium, so we devoted all of that to it when we made this tournament. This is the third consecutive year we've held the tournament. Now, we can't necessarily make a line-up of the battles yet, because each of you needs to pass a test. You must pass a test of one of the following
Strength Test: move a boulder three feet
Mind Test: Sense the aura around a person's body to tell their mood.
Stamina Test: Survive against an opponent for 1 minute. The procter you face does not take damage from your attacks
"To get into the tournament, you must pass atleast one of these tests. Get to work.". Nin started walking off. "I know where I'm going. Strength Test"
John left too. "Gotta find that Stamina Test..." he said. Angelic laughed. "With my new psychic powers, that Mind Test will be a cinch!" she said, running off. Alyssa slumped to the ground. "What am I supposed to do?". Then, she transformed into her cat demon form, and raced after Nin to the strength test.
"Okay, you may begin..." said the procter. Nin put his arms against the big boulder. It began to slowly move. Then, bracing his feet, he pushed his arms against the boulder. The boulder flew back. A procter used measuring tape to measure the distance. "4 feet!" he said. "You pass" said the procters. Nin walked off to find his teams. Alyssa came, and passed the Strength test with 3 and a half feet. Angelic passed her Mind test easily. The procter was screaming his head off, his face red hot. She didn't even need to read his mind. "Your angry, aren't you?". "You pass!!!!!!!" said the angry procter running around. John survived a minute int he Stamina test without even taking a hit.
"Well, now that all of you have passed, it's time for you to sign up. You also need a team name....". John thought of it. "The Warriors of God!". They signed up, and their first match was against the Demon Rumblers. "Well, let's go!" they said, running out to the ring.
The fox-girl announced the fight. "First match: Team Demon Rumblers, versus the warriors of God! I'm Koto, your hostess with the mostess! Now, would the two fighters participating in the first round, please come forward?". A big, bulky guy with a giant axe on his arm stepped up. "I'll go first, boys. I'll destroy 'em all with my axe arm!" he said. "Please, allow me to kill the two girls." said a female voice. "Deal!" said the bulky guy, leaping into the arena. Nin stepped up. "I'll try and take as many as I can, but I'm afraid that's not in the cards. It may be up to your John, because I'm sensing a powerful demonic aura from one of them.....". "Okay" said John. Nin leaped into the air, and landed before the demon with the axe. "First round! Nin vs. Makintaro! Begin!!"
Makintaro slammed his axe into the ground, creating a shockwave headed towards Nin. Nin leapt over it, throwing two shuriken stars at Makintaro. The shuriken stars his Makintaro on his chest and his shoulder. Ripping them out, he looked at the purple blood oozing out of the wounds. A red aura surrounded him, and the wounds slowly disappeared. "Okay, so you can heal! No problem!" said Nin, leaping over the boulder of a demon. Landing on Makintaro's back, he drew his sword. "Thousand Stabs!" shouted Nin. The sword enhanced his speed, and no one could see what happened next. Moving so fast, flames surrounded Nin's sword, as he stabbed Makintaro several times. Finally, Nin stopped, and leapt off of Makintaro. There was a giant hole in Makintaro's back, as he landed with a thud. "Cover your eyes, guys..." said Nin. He stabbed Makintaro in the head. "Now, you can't heal..." said Nin. "Makintaro has been incapacitated! We need another fighter from the Demon Rumblers!"
