Do you guys ever hesitate to buy a magazine if you feel it is too 'thin' and not worth the cover price?

I have found the price to be relative to the thickness. The bigger the magazine, the more expensive it is.

Personally, I like waiting until my sister is done with them and passes them along to me.

I usually only get the issues that have the "Beautiful People" lists and special stories on the cover. I figure if I read it, that somehow increases my opportunity to some day be listed as one of the beautiful people.

Honestly, I can never understand those lists.

Its usually just the people who've gotten the most press that year. But I'll admit, I read them too.

Random tangent, I know. Not saying they're ugly, just they haven't taken everyone into consideration either.

I know - I agree that the lists are silly. I find it interesting to compare what I deem attractive against the popular norm for society, tho.

I also buy a lot of wedding magazines because I am planning on one-upping Celine Dion : sparkly pope's hat, camel and all.

Actually, I just love weddings and hope I can get into that specific angle in the publishing industry.

When I was a kid I loved architectural magazines, showing pictures from all over the house, plus the overview line drawings.

I don't subscribe to any. I really only read magazines if I'm sitting in the store waiting on my mom to shop.
