I think I know where you are going with this - but could you please unpack it a bit more?

"Common sense" epistemological realism is implicit in both the logic of legal Textualists as well as Fundamentalists. Avoiding critical thinking isn't a bug, it's a feature. If people got to thinking critically, they might question the "just so" stories that conservatives rely upon to justify their worldviews.

There are two types of "American Conservatives". American conservatives who support Trump and conservatives who do not.

Strangely, it seems Trump supporters simply cannot critique of the man at all; even when done from "inside the tent". There is no willingness to reflect on Trump's imperfections as a leader or person. I'm curious how many conservatives who do not support Trump have a problem with the Lincoln Project and their message.

That is a very fair reply. In response, I shall say that McConnell, as the Senate Majority Leader, was attempting to be a check and balance towards a Democratic POTUS. Was this politically motivated? Of course it was. However, I say that around 90% or more of the executive and legislative actions in Washington DC are politically motivated. Also, I believe that it would be easier to find the proverbial needle in a haystack than it would to find a politician in Washington DC whom hasn't been corrupted at all by politics.

If something can be applied unequally, I'm sorry but it's not a "check and balance".
Now I am willing to agree that this could be a "both sides" issue but I'm not a political historian.. Could you find me something that Democrats did, in terms of manipulating the checks and balances within government, that had so far reaching and permanent an outcome, as the SC?
I mean, let's not bother talking about the electoral college schemes in the last election and start with just the Supreme Court Comparison.

The Lincoln Project is made up of moderate Republicans and former Republicans who have bought into the LIE back in 2018 that Trump and the multiple millions of Americans who support populism conservatism are a threat to democracy in the USA. Also, a couple of days ago, the Lincoln Project brought out their first advertisement in support of Kamala Harris, a left wing liberal whom as a Senator, was every bit to the the far left of the Democratic Party as is Bernie Sanders. The Lincoln Project claims that Trumpism is a threat to democracy by being an autocratic movement. However, by attacking Donald Trump in that way, these so-called moderates are also attacking the millions and millions of Americans who are in the grassroots of America voting for Donald Trump and other populist conservatives that want to make sure that America no longer remains deeply entangled within the web of globalism politics, globalism wars, and globalism deceptions.

What does the Democratic Party want to do nearly every time over the past several years when the SCOTUS makes a decision which the Democratic Party doesn't like? They talk about adding more members to the Court. They are not satisfied with the SCOTUS having 9 justices. They want to add more and more justices to the court. The leaders of the Democratic Party rant and rave with comments bordering upon hysteria whenever the far left ideology loses a decision at the SCOTUS. In my opinion, the liberal mainstream media and the leaders of the Democratic Party have been attempting for years to undermine the trust of the American people towards the SCOTUS. If all of that is not manipulating the checks and balances of the Federal government and the US Constitution, then I don't know what else to call it.

Their message is false. Their message is illogical to me when they make claims about someone they claim is an autocratic dictator when that person has the support of multiple millions of grassroots Americans AND when that person has a proven track record from 2017 through 2020 of being absolutely NOT a dictator.

Changing the amount of justices would give the POTUS and the Senate the ability to pack the court with justices whom agree with the ideologies of the current party in political power. You don't see anything wrong with that?
