I would like to introduce myself to anyone who doesn't know me.

  • We just had our second child, his brother is almost 3
  • I play guitar, sometimes for the youth group at our church
  • I love photography
  • I've been married for 6 years to my beautiful wife
  • I was saved at 32 after years of hating (myself, others, God)
  • I love music
Ask away! I love questions.

Hey there KBD - Welcome to the 40's group. Remember - Society now says "40 is the new 30". Hey, you're only as old as you feel, right - Hold on while I take my athritis medication, rub some Ben Gay on my joints and take my Geritol. (j/k)

Congratulations on your new baby and for being a family man! We need more of you in this world.
Also, congratulations on LOVING YOURSELF! That is so important! Your family will thank you for that.

It's also great to see that you are involved in the Music Ministry!

Question: Are any of your guitars twelve-string? I have an Ibanez Acouctic 12-string and the sound is just HEAVENLY!

It seems like most questions have been about music. Mine won't be an exception. :) Have you heard any of the "Picking on . . . " series? If you don't know what that is, some country music musicians record songs by rock groups. If you have heard the stuff, what do you think of it?

The other question is what do you enjoy doing after church on Sundays?

I have heard some of the "picking on" recordings. In a lot of cases, I think they feature better playing than most of the originals. The Van Halen one that recently came out is no exception. I think it breathes life into some otherwise forgotten songs. I think the Van Halen one would have been more respecatable withouth the addition of David Lee Roth on the few songs he was on.

After church... we usually get KFC for lunch. Then If there is a NASCAR race on, I like to watch that.

They did a Van Halen one? That sounds . . interesting. I have the Allman Brothers one, the Led Zeppelin one, and Pink Floyd. Sometimes it's funny to listen to. Like on Zeppelin, they did "Going to California," which was already acoustic. Allman Brothers came out really good. I think Zep and Allman Brothers came out good because a lot of their songs had an acoustic sensibility. Pink Floyd is the most interesting, though.

Thanks for the answer and welcome to FF!
