Deuteronomy 22:25. But if out in the country a man happens to meet a girl pledged to be married and rapes her, only the man who has done this shall die.
26. Do nothing to the girl; she has committed no sin deserving death. This case is like that of someone who attacks and murders his neighbor
27. for the man found the girl out in the country, and though the betrothed girl screamed, there was no one to rescue her.
28. If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered,
29. he shall pay the girl's father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the girl, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives.

Also in Judges chapters 19 and 20 there is a concubine who was raped and abused who died as a result and the perpetrators were to be killed .

In second samuel 13 - Amnon raped his sister Tamar and was killed on the order of Absalom

Apparantly God obviously doesnt like this and the perpetrators were to be killed unless the woman and her family wanted marriage .

Lusting is an epic problem in large part because in our culture people MARRY FAR TOO LATE. For the vast majority of human history, the average marriage age was around 14. Now, it's about 12 years past that. The human libido was not designed to be artificially restrained for so long, and remember that due to better nutrition now, people enter puberty earlier, compounding the problem. We, in our technocratic, corporate society, have the message that people ought to be successful and finish high school, college, and even grad school before pursuing marriage.

Of course, there are also a variety of laws that prevent even responsible and well-grounded teens from leaving the home, getting married, and supporting themselves as a new family unit. Just something for the government to think about when they tout sex-ed or abstinence programs.

Yes. I recall those, but I was looking for marriage instances... and so there isn't confusion - I think raping a spouse is a sin too, but that is from the Spirit and not known scripture.

Well look at it this way , rape is an act of violence , its done for harm , not sex - usually done to disgrace and degrade an individual - marital sex should be an act of love , where both are sharing and being one - rape goes against this .

So yes its possible to rape your wife , but its certainly not a loving act or one that God condones - even God doesnt force Himself on us - nor should anyone force themselves on their spouse and a man who would do this to his wife , basically hates himself - the bible does say that a man who doesnt care for His family is worse than a non believer .

Even though the bible says a mans body belongs to his wife and hers to him because they are one , this doesnt mean for an abuse situation .

I think that part is the key. I think it is in scripture, but just has to be seen. Since this is usually ignored in the pulpit and something most prefer not to talk about, the teaching of where it is covered is neglected. Thanks, that is somewhat what I was looking for and I think it can be put together now. :)

Ephesians 5:25. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for it,
26. that He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27. that He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28. So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself.
29. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church.

30. For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones.
31. "For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.''

Clearly if he isnt nourishing and cherishing his wife , hes hating his own flesh because she is one with him .

Proverbs 11: 17. The merciful man does good for his own soul, but he who is cruel troubles his own flesh.

Malachai 2:13. And this is the second thing you do: you cover the altar of the Lord with tears, with weeping and crying; so He does not regard the offering anymore, nor receive it with good will from your hands.
14. Yet you say, "For what reason?'' because the Lord has been witness between you and the wife of your youth, with whom you have dealt treacherously; yet she is your companion and your wife by covenant.
15. But did He not make them one, having a remnant of the Spirit? And why one? He seeks godly offspring. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously with the wife of his youth.

Pretty clear God doesnt want someone behaving violently toward His wife.

The proverbs 11:7 is debatable if tried to apply to the issue, although I personally don't deny that it can apply.

I would also add...

1 Corinthians 6:18
Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body.

...to Ephesians 5, it is in keeping with the spirit and has a double entendre aspect of truth.
