Ok, so to be fair I think the OP has a lot of merit to his point.

On the other hand, I just want to say that I do believe that unlawful lust is that which grieves the Spirit of God. Exactly what that is anybody's guess but I'm sure it has something to do with defrauding your neighbor, etc.

Law is LOVE. LAW is in the SPIRIT. LOVE is no self. Deny self. NOT easy. Jesus said it wasnt. and he said FEW get there. I WANT to. I want HIM. I know others here do as well. This was for someone

I can tell you i have been following JESUS with all my heart for 2 years now. I was raised a christian but TRULY submitted to him only in late august 2010.

I gave ALL for myself to him got rid of all books, movies, music, friends all thigns, all of my SOUL(thoughts, will and emotions) So that i can start fresh and ONLY SEEK FIRST his kingdom and to seek and do ONLY WHAT MY MASTER WANTS. i was a drug addict. HUGE porn addict, heavy clinical depression, a heavy smoker, amongst other things.

JESUS removed ALL of those things and baptized me in his spirit and i was FREE from al l of those things in 2 days. NEVER went back. and i will never go back.

Since then he has givien me SO MUCH of himself and taught me so much.

Besides JUST to know GOD and have HIS MIND, i had told him that i wanted ONE THING but i woudl wait as long as HE wanted me to wait, and that was MY RIB. the perfect mate and partner HE WANTS me to have. Not one I think woudl be best...but one HE THINKS.

And then i JUST sought his kingdom to HEAR HIM and obey him. Im not saying this because i think im anything special. IM NOT!! it is JUST HIS GRACE AND MERCY that HE CAN AND WILL SHOW ALL MEN WHOM FOLLOW HIM.

in TWO YEARS i did not seek out a mate. i had been in one other relationship EVER in my lfie for 6 years it ended horribly. BUT i was not living for My KING.

after two years JUST TWO YEARS of living for HIM. he sent me to help a girl online who was going through allot of things(there is a huge story with this...but i dotn want to have you guys read a whole book...yet...) turns out that GOD tells me she is MY RIB adn that he wants me to be the father of her kids.

100% truth for i will never lie.

He gave me much confirmation in visions and word directly TO ME. and in 3 months. i got to know this girl who WILL BE MY WIFE better than i have ever known ANYONE in three short months(having 5-7 hour conversations about ALL things). and i have NOT even met her in person this has been over the phone PURELY.

INFACT GOd hadn't wanted me to meet her in person yet(though soon he says)

I posted what i posted because its TRUTH. and im posting what im posting now because its truth. the LUST is WANTING. it is YOU not trustign GOD so YOU beign god in even a tiny aspect of your lfie that you THINK maybe GOD doesnt care about.

Im SURE i still do it in many other areas. but GOD WILL show that to me as well. he has shown me THIS ONE and told me to share it here so i did "

JESUS CHRIST YOUR FATHER WANTS TO LEAD EVERY SINGLE ASPECT OF YOUR LIFE and to not submit to him IN every way like that, ends up ROBBING HIM of what he DIED FOR..and yet he will STILL LOVE AND PROTECT AND CHERISH YOU, and try to get you to where he DIED to get you...but you will miss out on his PERFECT will for your life and maybe just walk in his permissive will. we should nto want to rob him of anything and really WANT to know his perfect wil lfor our lives and actively SEEK IT.

He PERMITS allot. ALL THINGS Are lawful(permisive will). But NOT all is expediant(PERFECT WILL) to walk in the PERFECT WILL OF GOD(like JESUS WALKED) is the narrow door. Im seeking that HARD. Others are too. STRIVE to enter for FEW will find it.

The lord has me tell people who NEED it, certain truths at certain times. as I grow and learn from HIM.

so this was all for someone. Maybe one person who NEVER actually comments. but this is reaching you in a way that you needed.

you CAN do GODS perfect will and he WILL get you there. and it WILL GO WELL in EVERY WAY for you.

Seek to be FREE FROM SIN(self leading) and he will do the rest, DESIRE to walk in, like, with, as, for, JESUS CHRIST.

No more LAW. But FREEDOM in CHRIST. I have never been free-er knowing that I CAN DO NOTHING of myself.

JESUS said "of myself i can do nothing" I know that. but f the SPIRIT i can do all things.

What does lust mean? TO desire, Covet, Earnestly WANT.

Was Jesus saying:

"If you want to HAVE a woman you see (not even sexually, but to WANT her, covet...even desire to have a SPECIFIC woman as your wife) you commit adultery?

Yes, yes he was.

he was NOT talking about seeing a woman and in that moment wanting to have sex with her...To do that would be spiritual RAPE...not lust(which is spiritual adultery). JESUS was saying:

If you see a lady(or vise versa), and GOD did not say, TO YOU PERSONALLY, she was YOUR WIFE..then to WANT her AS your wife would be committing adultery. NOT EVEN to have sex in your mind but only to WANT. For she belongs to another(whether she knows yet or its a way into the future, GOD planned for her to marry SOMEONE and its not you...) if you WANT..thats LUSt. if you LUST you committed adultery. NOTHING about Sex yet in this passage. Just WANT

Thats ALL lust means to WANT. Not even SEXUALLY, even if you just keep it "moral"

Lust of the Flesh = To feel, taste, smell, think, hear and DESIRE(/Want/Covet)

Lust of the eyes = to SEE and DESIRE(/Want/Covet)

Boastful pride of life. = Accomplishments that the WORLD would value. Achievements. things YOU can do that give you boasting rights.

You can LUST after(want) things, people, positions, places, feelings. the only thing you should SET your HEART on is MORE JESUS.

Then HE will do the rest. its faith in HIM. and whats not faith is SIN.

To summ up again: JESUS said if you WANT (not even sex) a woman and she isn't YOUR WIFE (that is you HEARD God say she is yours) then WANTING is adultery.

JESUS looks after his sheep. we are NEVER in WANT.

They were naked and not ashamed until they ate of the fruit of their own tree.
