Lust...

Hi all. This is my first post here, I'm new.

Anywho, I'm seventeen. I have a problem with lust, I mean really it's my worst sin. No matter how hard I pray for help and try to fight it, I always end up failing. I'm so un-sure of what to do and I feel like God is getting tired of it.

I don't know what to do... do you?

I try to stay away from things that give me these thoughts. Maybe try not looking at ads in magazines or anything that triggers those thoughts. Also, keep your brain occupied. I find when I am bored and have nothing to think about I start thinking about that.

Well.
I still have this sin , but now I'm better about this.
As Chilaha said , try to avoid magazines or pictures that gives you this desire.
When I was between 15 and 18 I had a lot of problem with this sin , but nowadays I am much better and when I have this desire,I pick a book or I hear a music or I play a game ,etc.

. . . do you know that there's a difference between having a sexual desire and lusting?? Not being a smart-alec, just making sure you weren't getting the two mixed up, because they're not synonymous.

Lust is one of my biggest sins. Ive struggled with it, but i learned what triggers it. When i listen to worldly music BAM im always so full of lust and just wanting. When ever I'm not in a christian mind frame or truely being a christian its there. My advice would be to remove anything that could trigger it. And whenever you feel lustful. Just pray for GOD to remove the feeling.

Hey man, you really have to try and get an accountability partner who you will be completely honest with. That's helped me tremendously. That way you'll get encouragement, but they can also get on your case about it if it gets more and more frequent. As well, really be in your Bible consistently and be praying about it. I find it hard to be consistently in the word and in habitual sin. Doesn't mix. Stay strong, friend. Be strong in the Lord.
