CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Lucid Dreaming

I don't really have much experience with Lucid Dreaming. Once in a while I recognise that I'm dreaming, then I usually wake up right away.ClementofRome said:
The reason why I'm even here talking about Lucid Dreaming and Astral Projection is because I have trouble with Sleep Paralysis. 3 months ago, I was researching the causes of SP, when I ran across Astral Voyage. After looking at the FAQ and reading the different articles, I saw that there were a lot of shared symptoms between my SP and Astral Projection. Symptoms like: Vibrations, Altered Senses, High-Pitched Noises, and Encounters with mysterious beings. I've kinda got it into my head that since all this has occured naturally with me without any provocation, that it might be something special, a spiritual gift. I've been able to induce Sleep Paralysis a few times, but I've only been able to raise my head outside of my body during what I think to be a very weak projection. Recently, I've gotten pretty good at entering into deep relaxive states, and have been experimenting with Robert Bruce's Tactile Imaging. I'm not sure if pursuing AP is safe(physically and morally), so I'm planning on talking to my pastor, who's a good friend. Plus, he's had a few experiences himself!

It just happens to me. I guess I recognize that it is a dream, and then try to affect it on one way or another.
One shift I do notice, is that generally once I identify "consciously" that I am dreaming, my perspective in the dream will often shift to the third person, I am outside watching myself take part in the events.
