History: he is the son of a poor, now deceased blacksmith, and is following in his father’s footsteps; his mother is elderly and senile, and lives with his married sister with whom he has little to do due to a feud they began when they were teenagers over something neither of them remember.
Personality: He is quite uneducated, except in his job, and is often taken as an unintelligent man, though he possesses a sharp mind and is quite perceptive and observant. He is embarrassed about his lack of education, however, and is somewhat shy around strangers. He clucks his tongue when he’s nervous, and isn’t very interested in high adventure, though he does like to hear stories of such adventures. He's rather clumsy, except when it comes to his work, and can come across as a bumbling idiot.
